How to screw down the crown

screw down crown is not a feature of this watch.

does it have a backlight?

No, but the hands glow in the dark

Can the band on this watch be adjusted to a smaller size?

Yes, most definitely. I had to have mine adjusted as well, it was way too big, but only a Jeweler is able to remove the links. Most in my area (Fl.) only charge $15 to $20, and it only takes them a few minutes, & the give you the links back in case it would need to be resized again. The watch is beautiful, looks so much better in person as well. Hope this helps.

Description says silver tone- is it made of all stainless steel or silver tone?

I hope it is stainless steel for durability, but it is shiny silver colored. Very nice looking.
