I bought this product to help improve mitochondrial function and potentiate the CoQ10 supplement I was already taking. Double Wood PQQ has helped to improve my energy levels both physically and mentally. I'm still lifting heavy kettlebells at the age of 50 and this product helps me to sustain both my physical strength and mental drive to get through grueling training sessions with plenty of energy left over to do all of what needs to be done in life. I also recommend using their DHEA, which I started using a month or so after the PQQ. The two products in combination have a great synergy for me, where I have been able to train harder, gain strength and increase my muscularity noticeably in a matter of a few weeks. Overall, I find Double Wood's products to be of high quality and good value for the money.

A great anti-oxidant

The PQQ Supplement from Double Wood - it's been a game-changer for my energy levels! As someone with a hectic schedule, I often feel drained and sluggish. I'm a big believer in the idea that mitochondrial function is a primary driver of our health and energy as well as preventing chronic illness. PQQ can support the function of and generation of new mitochondria, support the body's natural anti-oxidant systems, enhance CoQ10 and help improve sleep - among other things. Doublewood polled its customers regarding which supplements we would like to see them produce and one at the top of my list was PQQ. Since they do a good job of making quality supplements at a reasonable cost and produce them in the US, I was very pleased to see them include this as a new offering. My inflammation remains low and while I cannot definitively attribute it specifically to the PQQ, my sleep has been improving since taking it. I recommend this PQQ if you're goal is to improve performance in these particular areas.

I have been using PQQ for energy/mitochondria for at least 2 decades and have tried many brands. A lot of them just didn't work well. I stuck with a good brand for years despite its being pricey because it worked. I use PQQ along with NAC and CoQ10 or energy, mood, and overall well-being. It's a combo I would never want to be without. Recently I have found DOUBLE WOOD PQQ. It works! In fact, it works great! It works as well as the more pricey brand at a much more affordable price. I will stick with them as long as they stay in business. I will be 80 this year and everyone asks for my energy/attitude secret, even people 1/2 my age. Now when I share my secret, I recommend Double Wood brand!

The science so far backs up the use of PQQ for mitochondrial biogenesis.The unknown is whether mito biogenesis triggered by PGC-1 alpha reduces the abundance of mutant mtDNA and thus delays sarcopenia. One theory supporting that supposes that having more mitochondria reduces the oxidative load on each mitochondria, AND that the damage done by oxidation increases more-than-linearly with oxidative load.It is possible that the newly-made mtDNA is even more-likely to be mutant; or that mutant mtDNA will be triggered to reproduce in the same proportion as normal mtDNA, which would favor mutant mtDNA because deletion-mutants are shorter and hence reproduce faster. Certainly each turnover increases the chance for a de novo mutation. Whether PQQ can delay sarcopenia depends on whether the mitobiogenesis favors wild-type mtDNA. Similarly, the increase in autophagy that PQQ induces is also a question mark; we need to know whether this autophagy is random, or favors the destruction of mutant mitochondria.I didn't /feel/ any noticeable change while using PQQ, but I didn't expect to. I only wanted it to promote mitochondrial biogenesis, in order to spread the oxidative load across more mitochondria, thus hopefully reducing the average amount of mtDNA damage. As long as I believe that's plausible, I'd like to keep taking it. But I don't expect to be able to observe noticeable results from that for another 20 years.

Cannot say anything about the quality purity or even the effectiveness of this product. I certainly cannot say anything about absorbency. Seems ridiculous that supplier would even ask such a question. It would take a team of scientists to answer such a question. I buy this on blind faith that it is what the supplier says it is. I haven't even checked out the reputation of the supplier. If this is PQQ and reports are true that this stimulates the production of new mitochondria this could be helpful to me in restoring heart health. This has been part of my heart health regimen for several months now. So far my heart has returned to normal function after being in serious heart failure. Who knows why. But it could be that PQQ has played a role.
