Happy Customer
I bought my original Nettalk over five years ago. Last week lightning destroyed it. During that time I have saved over two thousand dollars in phone bills. It is not perfect, but only minor problems Occasionally it had to be rebooted. Considering the cost, I had very little trouble during over five years. To replace the unit I had to call their tech support. Tech support is open 10AM to 10PM. every day except Sunday. I received my new unit on Sunday. I called their support at 10AM Monday. I waited only about 15 minutes for them to answer my call. I only had to give them my phone number and the MAC address of the new unit. After that I installed the unit and had a dial tone. Many people complain about their tech support. I do not know about support in the past as I never needed it. . At this time , August 2016, the support was excellent.

It works great. It replaced my old unit that broke after ...
I bought this VoIP device from "COIN Services" and it was fulfilled by Amazon. It works great. It replaced my old unit that broke after three years. It cost much less than what it did three years ago. The three free months of talk time that came with the purchase is a nice bonus as well. It took netTalk a couple days to process the change of device because replacement devices can't be registered online like a new device with a new account can. However, all in all but the small inconvenience worth it to me.This device is portable so you can use it away from home provided you have Internet service. I save a bunch of money using this device. However, There is a 24 hour per month talk time limit after which you have to pay much higher rates. It only cover US/Canada. For other countries you pay higher rates. It also doesn't do FAX well if at all. But, those restrictions are fine with me. YMMV.

Can't beat price of service, but customer service needs better hrs and more techs
Item worked for a day then it attempted to download and install firmware… Failed with blinking red LED. Was down and contacted Nettalk numerous times from beginning of Nov. tip Chistmas break with no resolve from online chat (Online chat hours really sux). Finally after 2, 1 hr. "chats"each, I did have a support person contact me and through remote means, updated firmware and now able to use. They were nice enough to credit 2 months since I did document I was having issues. Overall quality is ok for the price. How can u argue ~ $3 - $4 a month vs $30 and change a month for voyage. U want solid VOIP.. Vonage was best, wanna save some cash and deal with issues here and there.. feel free to hit Nettalk up.

Terrible on Wifi, incompetent customer service
Update 1/19/16I am changing the rating to 1 star as I have had nothing but problems after my initial honeymoon period.1. Device drops connection; every morning I have to reboot the device to get a dial tone. EVERY SINGLE DAY! Customer support recommended I connected to a 2.4 ghz wifi network. That reduced the crackling noise but not the dropped network connection.2. Customer support refuses to send a new device although its under warranty. They fix the issue during the support call but refuse to acknowledge its a recurring problem. I was told if the issue happens again, I need to call again and they will fix it! They also had no idea about virtual machines and Windows OS running on vmware and initially refused to provide troubleshooting because it was not a native windows pc. I had to lie to them to get them to troubleshoot. Pulling teeth is less painful than dealing with these guys.DO NOT BUY THE WIFI model. You have been warned.

" If only their Customer Support was as good as their Billing
My WiFi Duo has not worked since activating. It has various issues. All calls, incoming and outgoing, cut off after a few seconds. The devices status light continually goes red, and it must be restarted. The devices MAC address as seen by my router is different than the MAC provided on the device sticker.I have been trying to get problems resolved with NetTalk service, for two months. I have filed service tickets with no response from NetTalk.Ticket status' show as "open", On line "Live Support" shows "Off Line".Even trying to forward my number to my other Duo device has not worked.Meanwhile Nettalk has demanded I pay for annual service one month before 3mo "free service" is up."You are a valued netTALK customer and we want you to be aware that your netTALK DUO phone service will expire June 16, 2016 11:59PM EST and that your account will be cancelled if you don't renew. Remember, cancelled accounts means your phone number will be released for anyone to register and all related data including account settings, voice messages, call history, etc., will be removed from our database and will not be subject to recovery." " Please Note: You will incur a $9.99 re-activation fee if you don't renew by your renewal date."If only their Customer Support was as good as their Billing.I have had a NetTalk Duo for 4 years, and have had no issues, but the WIFI version has been a frustration, I should have had this resolved within the first 2 weeks, It appears that once Nettalk believes service has started, you will here nothing except notices when account is up for renewal

AWESOME phone service without traditional landline carrier costs!
I just love the progression of technology! Couple weeks back, I was complaining to a coworkers about the cost of my fixed landline that barely gets used but I like having the line in the house for the rare fax or # used as our 'spam' number. My coworker had switched to this service over a year ago and loved the functionality, service, simplicity, and LOW cost!I decided that for the yearly cost savings, I could also live with a phone line that's potentially slightly less reliable (my poor assumption about VoIP phones) but essentially provide the same service. To my surprise, this service has been excellent, reliable, and functional with no impact to voice quality! I have to believe the traditional landline voice carriers see the 'writing on the wall' as everyone should be switching/porting their service over to their broadband providers via a service like this! I love the voicemail to email feature where all VM's are forwarded via WAV file to my email accessible on my smartphone... so now home or away traveling/work, I get an email with the voicemail message near instantly (AWESOME)!

its worth the long time to set up
a little hard to use, very limited support and service,,i had to spent a lot of time to set up and make it work, this one came without prepackage deal, its ok because its a replacement, great price for the yearly service, the phone is fine ,free long distance calls in north American, its worth the time to learn ,my phone bill is under 40 dollars a year.

my co-workers complained about the poor voice quality
I bought netTALK DUO for the office, my co-workers complained about the poor voice quality, the phone service has noisy, inconsistent connections and inability to contact certain working numbers. I called netTALK, but they are so inefficient with poor technical support, they said that is because of the internet connection, well, we are using Telus, the internet service is not too bad.Well that was the final straw. I moved over to another service. Good bye NetTalk.

Hard to set up and would not work on Mac. When I called their support the person helping me told me to get a PC computer then call back. I asked if he could help me set it up through my wifi and he told me the same thing and then hung up on me.
