I bought these as a gift for a friend and she loved them! They are high quality silicone with bright coloring and cute shaped. They do exactly what they are supposed to by making a spoon rest for any pot. This item as I said it silicone so it makes it easy to clean and durable against heat.

High quality material, holds spoon as indicated and cute and quirky.

I was unsure about this since there is a mixed bag of reviews on whether or not this actually works. But for $5 I decided it was worth a try because I figure I have spent more than that in paper towels wiping up the countertop and stovetop from my husband laying the spoon (in a different spot each stir too) down instead of standing it up in the spoonrest. Yes, standing it up... I refuse to give up the counter space for a traditional spoonrest and apparently he is equally stubborn about standing the spoon upright. As he really is a darn good cook, I have thought it best to put up and wipe up so he doesn't give up helping in the kitchen.I tried Red (his name) on two different types of pans, one with straight sides and one with a lip on the top edge. It worked as it should on both. My pan with straight sides is a heavy anodized aluminum and is quite thick, so that may be why it worked without falling as some have complained theirs did. Now my challenge is getting MY rooster to use THIS rooster, without feeling he has been henpecked.

The color is not the common red you will find for kitchen items in red. It is a weak red. BUT, this is excellent for holding utensils, easy to clean, and it's holding up well. They need to offer a better selection of colors and critters. The rooster works great for us, as we have that theme in our kitchen, but the other offerings seem blah to me and the colors gaudy.

The spoon rest has a tendency to fall over! Not very stable and fell into sauce pan one time! The base needs to be wider.

So cute! Works for most utensils and most cooking vessels. Extra fat utensils are too heavy, but don’t need the holder anyway. One vessel has sides sloped too sharp to use the silicone holder, as the ingredients slide down the utensil instead of into the vessel. But it’s an odd specialty vessel that most people won’t even own. Would buy again.

I bought this as part of an inside joke with my mother in law. She always declares she doesn't need gifts so when you ask her what she wants she'll tell you "Nothing". So we decided to start buying her chicken related products, as if she was a fan of chickens. Eventually she'll have enough of these items that other people will assume this is a theme she selected and start buying her chicken themed items too.I will say I was pleasantly surprised by this spoon holder. I admit since it was part of a lark, I wasn't really buying it for it's use. It does however work wonderfully, and the funny thing is she uses it all the time. It sits nicely on the pot while you cook and hold the spoon nicely freeing up your kitchen space, you no longer need a spoon rest on the counter. If you have large handled plastic/silicone spoons it may not be that useful, but for a nice old fashioned wooden spoon it's great.

I. Am. So. Excited.I got these (A rooster and a pig) as a gift for my dad who LOVES to cook, but always forgets and leaves cooking utensil in the bowl instead of the counter. He's always burning himself, so when I found these, I had to buy them. It's hard to forget and leave a spatula in a hot bowl when you have a red rooster sitting on the side of it. He'll get it for Christmas, and I can't wait to see his reaction.The packaging for these are also really simple and they have pictures of how they work so I'm not afraid he won't understand when he opens them. I can tell that they're good quality products just by handling them, and they're so much more detailed in person then what you see in the pictures. I love these. I might buy some for myself.
