Still Sick, Volume 1 (1)

An Instant Hit
I read almost exclusively yuri manga (as a women, just for context), and I can only hope this becomes as mainstream as Citrus and Bloom Into You. It’s a refreshing change of pace to have two characters well into their adult lives, yet still the story manages to capture the lighter quirkiness of the characters. I wish there was a release date for volume 2!

Manga is not their only interest.
When discovered that she was a yuri artist, Makoto Shimizu wondered what her coworker Akane Maekawa would do. But it seems Maekawa has a bit of a secret as well, she was a former manga writer herself but burned herself out. Not only that but it seems there is something more that she is hiding from Shimizu. How will this play out?this was a well writing and timed story. Reading the banter of the two girls was fun and seeing how it will play out, especially with the twist at the end.

Great!
It took me a minute to get through this volume. It has a lot of dialogue, compared to other mangas. At times this made it hard to read because the font is so small Either I got used to it, or they started organizing the page layouts differently in later chapters. Because I didn't notice problems with it so much later on. However I enjoyed the dialogue because it really developed the characters and got you invested in the story. I love manga so manga about manga creators is great imo. I Definitely recommend if you like romance and otaku culture

Great first volume
I read this myself but also bought a copy for my friend as I am very picky about what I enjoy in a yuri title. But the concept alone was enough to hook me and I can't wait for volume two.

4/5 🌟
So this was a good start to the series. I always appreciate yuri that’s about older women, not high schoolers.

Good addition to the yuri genre
great back and forth between characters, and took a new approach to its setting, as its in a work setting. Decent cliff hanger, I’m excited for the next volume.

One of my favourite yuri series of all time.
I can't emphasize how much I love this series! The relationship between Makoto and Akane is so adorable and cute! I thought I wouldn't like it as much since it doesn't focus on a school setting, but it's actually better without one.And you know what I really love about it? The romance is pace almost perfectly! You don't have to wait multiple volumes for one of the protagonists to wonder if they have feelings for the other, or for a kiss between the two. It gets right to the point and it's awesome for it!

A must-read for all Yuri lovers
Still Sick has got to be one of the best manga of the Yuri genre. I know that sounds like an empty high praise but it is indeed deserving of it. The plot, the characters and even the setting of the manga retains the same atmosphere throughout it all. As you might know the story is about Shimuzu Makoto and Maekawa Akane both .... ... .... It's pointless I'll just end up writing the whole plot. But basically if you want realism with humor as a side then I suggest you read this. It's a Manga about a Mangaka who finally gets the support to continue what she really wanted. Well the first volume ends in an angsty cliffhanger but hey you got to buy two more and by the time you get to the epilogue you'll be sobbing tears wishing it lasted longer but still as happy as you can be. The characters also has great dynamic and if Bloom into You made you feel giddy that Yuri (nah that one's more like Shoujo-ai) is finally at great heights then this will help you set that bar higher. Seriously Akashi, I expect more great manga from you.

About two people chasing their dreams with passion
I thought it was about someone with depression, as you might guess it from the title, but it's not.Two people in their late twenties, decide not to settle in the current situation and to face their unorganized past and the dreams they have left behind, and desperately think that this is not the time to stop here, that they don't care about themselves, that their feelings don't matter. It was an enthusiastic story about struggling to get over their past and grab the future with their own hands. Plus, it had humor and had a great vibe! Great tempo too!Makoto Shimizu (29), the leader of the System Development Department, is a good woman who is good at her job, mentally stable, and has a good personality. On the other hand, Akane Maekawa (25), of the General Affairs Department, is a cute little girl, petite, good-looking and idolized by everyone, but also very witty, faithful, and nice. However, in their private lives, Makoto is a secret geek whose hobby is creating Yuri manga (=GL manga, short for girls’ ove), and Akane is a former manga artist who broke her brush when she couldn't draw anymore. When Akane teaches Makoto how to draw a manga, she shows her true face, and it's so funny that it's almost too cold.lol 5 stars are not enough. I want to give it 10 stars! I recommend it!
