Remember, ovens get hot...!
Now that I've used the Elite Gourmet countertop toaster, convection, rotisserie oven for toast, pizza, chicken, turkey, and Swedish meatballs, it's time to give my honest evaluation: I love it!A little background and why I chose this product: I recently had to move into affordable housing and still will pay for gas and electricity. I'm now on a fixed income. The first time I used the apartment's oven, my apartment went from 68° to 77°. It took all afternoon for it to cool down. I started to look for a good quality countertop unit with a rotisserie. I was about to purchase one costing nearly $300 which was rated close to 5 stars. But nearly all of the 1 star reviews said the same thing, there was an odor that wouldn't go away, the materiel was flimsy, and the rotisserie function was faulty. Always go to the 1 star reviews first. If they say the same thing, look for something else or see for yourself at a local store if you can find the item. I did. So back to searching I went and came across Elite Gourmet with only 4 stars. Plus it was offered at over 50% off. The 1 star reviews were varied. Amazingly, they were from people who obviously didn't read the instructions or realize that they were dealing with a miniature oven. And ovens get hot. Even the beautiful Brevilles have problems, plus none of them have a rotisserie. So I bought the Elite Gourmet and I'm so glad I did. My apartment never heats up when I use it.Some advice if you are getting this or any countertop oven: READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. After wiping it down and prior to first use, set the oven function, not the convection function, to 450° and heat it for around 15 minutes or so. There will be a slight odor, but it will dissipate. I waited for it to cool down and wiped it with a clean damp cloth again before using it.Next, get familiar with the appliance and its accompanying accessories. Practice removing the baking sheet and wire racks using the tool that comes with the oven. Attach and remove the rotisserie rod. If you aren't sure or have never used the type of rotisserie attachments included, go to YouTube and watch a video. Make sure you have the racks in properly before placing or removing items, especially heavy ones. Last, remember to wear oven mitts. The elements are much closer to your hands then the ones on larger ovens and they get just as hot. Also, use just the oven function, which is at the off position on the function dial, when you make toast. The convection function will dry out your toast. The Elite Gourmet has beautiful French style doors and fits beautifully in the corner of my counter. It's convenient, well-priced, and performs wonderfully. This is not an airfryer, but using the convection feature can sometimes perform the same or better depending on what you are making.Hope this review helps you if you're looking for a countertop oven.

Great oven!
Update: Ive had this oven for several months. I have no complaints about its function or performance. The outside and doors get very hot but the handles dont. Just dont touch the glass doors! Still didnt use the rotisserie function and I dont plan to. It is easy to burn things in this oven, but thats not a flaw of the oven its me needing to watch it. Things cook faster than in a traditional oven.Wonderful!! My oven broke and with my husband out of work we do NOT have the money to replace it, repair was $200 and there was no promise that would fix it. So, we thought our money would be better spent here. And it was. It came with 2 wire shelves and a drip pan and a baking sheet. I LOVE the baking sheet. I wish I could get another one! It fits my normal casserole dishes. It bakes just fine. I dont use the Rotisserie function because I rarely cook whole chicken. I have a family of 7 so we bake quite a bit

Really good large oven for reasonable price
I really like this convection toaster oven quite a bit. It does take a bit longer for things to cook in this vs an air fryer cause it's so much bigger but I'm ok with that cause my Instant Pot Duel Crisp Pressure Cooker is to small to air fry a decent amount of food in it at a time. So the few extra minutes it takes to cook things in this is definitely worth it. Especially with the huge amount you can cook at a time in this one. You also really need to pre heat this unit over an air fryer due to it's size as well. Both do better if you pre heat them but this one you pretty much always have to.I've done a rotisserie pork loin in it which turned out great. Tons of wings and some pork chops and everything has turned out great! It's so nice actually being able to see right through the big glass doors while your cooking everything too. My only gripe would be things do splatter on the doors and inside the oven. I wish they had a stainless steel screen cover you could put over things while your cooking it to help with the splatter problem. I've been cooking everything in fairly deep glass pans but things still splatter. Especially the bacon wrapped pork lions I made in it. The bacon really splattered. It's fairly easy to clean up though and I put a layer of tin foil on the bottom crumb tray so that will make it really easy to clean the bottom. I have yet to cook a pizza in it cause I want to get an actual pizza pan so it doesn't drip on anything. I'm guessing it's going to cook pizzas just as good as everything else. Oh and I've cooked pizza rolls well they were oriental orange chicken ones and they turned out great too. Toasted the outside of the rolls perfectly. The one bad thing about how it's packaged is where the Styrofoam lays against the black top of the oven it kinda scratches it and leaves marks on the paint. This may have gotten worse due to the delivery driver not calling to tell me they were here the first day they tried to deliver it for some reason so it had to be delivered again the next day and after working at FedEx I know how packages are handled lol so that's why I took one star off of it due to the scratches on the top on the black painted part of the oven. Only other thing is this does get hot on the outsides of it. It doesn't have any insulation really. So you really have to be carful around the oven. You especially have to watch out for the doors when putting things in and out of it cause the doors can burn you. So they could have tried to make them a little more safe by putting stops on the doors. I definitely think this could have made it a lot more safe to use but so long as you're safety conscious about it you should be fine. Overall I think the quality of the oven is pretty decent. It could have been made a little better with insulating the walls and top a little better but what can you really expect on an oven for about $100. Also in the one pic I'm posting the fan that's on top of the oven is on top of my Instant Pot Duel Crisp mat that's designed for the hot air fryer lid to be placed on it after using it so yes even though it's plastic it's designed for extremely hot temperatures so that's why I'm able to have a fan on top of the unit. You definitely can't just put something plastic on top of this unit while it's cooking if you don't have some sort of hot pad between the items cause this gets very hot. I also put a clip on the cord of the fan to keep it away from the top back and side of the oven so it doesn't burn the cord. So just keep this in mind when deciding on where to place this oven. You could probably store metal or glass pans or something like that on top of it without having to worry about them as much but just remember they will be warm to hot if you grab them after cooking with the oven but definitely don't put anything that could catch fire or melt on top of it. Also speaking of safety I would also pretty much say kids shouldn't use this due to the fact they can get burned very easily on many different areas of this oven. So adult use only or have older kids supervised by an adult. The overall size of this unit is huge compared to most of the others in this price range. Most ovens in this size range are double or triple the cost of this one so that's why I feel it's a really good value for the money. I think I've only used my oven once or twice for a couple pizzas since I still don't have a pizza pan yet since buying this oven. It's so much easier to use than having to bend over a huge oven. It also doesn't heat up my apartment like my regular oven does too which is really nice! I'll actually cook things this summer since I won't have to heat up my entire apartment!

Great oven
Love this oven. It works very well & is very easy to clean. We only use it on convection setting. I just wish the French doors were connected so when you opened one side that the other side opened also. Our previous oven had this ability & now I miss it.
