Very interesting account of all aspects of milk trains, and the business of getting milk from farm to table. Well illustrated.

While written for railroad modelers, this series of books are a great resource on the industry/s as a whole, and just happen to detail the rail portion of the system. Well written with good info on the why and when, not just a collection of old photos.

My husband had been waiting for this book to be published after reading about it online. He's been really enjoying reading it!

History of railroad milk transportation

It was very informative on how the dairy industry hauled milk products to market before refrigerated trucks and appliances took over.

Good info on an industry not usually covered. Wished for more details.

I learned quite a bit about dairy products and the milk trains which used to carry them. The book has lots of great pictures of dairies as well as the railroad equipment associated with them. I highly recommend the series to model railroaders and also people just interested in the history.
