To start off, I want to give major kudos to the customer service representative that helped me. Although this mat did not work out for me, he did everything he could've to help me. At first, I was very, and I mean VERY misled by one of the reviews here. Somebody mentioned using the mat without washing it and I thought oh wow, it's that good, let me try that. I was dead wrong. I slipped during my entire session of yoga and injured myself. After contacting the seller about the slipping problem, a representative responded with A LOT of courtesy and provided me with washing instructions to prevent slipping. He also stated that the mat should be washed at least once before use. After following the washing instructions, I used the mat again. My feet no longer slipped, however, my hands still slipped(especially in down dog). This might be a personal problem as so many people had such great results with this mat. I only took off one star because the mat truly did not work out for me as I wish it did. After speaking with the customer service representative about my second experience with the mat, he provided me with a 100% refund because "satisfaction is the brand's most important concern". I would recommend this mat to others even though it didn't work out for me because the customer service alone was phenomenal.

It is slippery and kind of thin. After buying it I received an email of a whole treatment I needed to do to make it "non-slip" (I wish I knew before buying it); it did not make sense to me. If I buy a product like this I want it to be ready to use! Part of the treatment included cleaning the mat with vinegar over night, it was too much work if you ask me. I just did a cleaning with some wipes and it is slippery anyway, maybe because I did not do the whole recommended treatment.I use it in my gym because I do not like to lay down on the other mats that everyone use. The fact that is thin makes hard some exercises (planks or yoga poses where you put your elbows in the ground specially) so I usually put it over another yoga mat and works better (I do not think that is the ideal, though).My personal opinion will be that if you want a good one, expend a little bit more of money and look for a better one.

Yes, it is a yoga mat. No, it is not "Non-Slip".While this mat seems grip when bone dry, the situation quickly changes with introduction of moisture. My hands started to slide with the smallest amount of sweat. Once I had a decent amount of sweat this mat became a slip-n-slide and this wasn't a hot yoga class.I gave this product two stars because it arrived on time and could be a decent map for anyone who suffers from hypohidrosis.

I bought this for my husband, who is relatively new to yoga. At this point his taste in mats is pretty basic. He's not terribly particular. But he did need something with a bit of extra cushioning. So I ordered this 6mm for that reason and because I wanted him to have something nontoxic with good customer reviews. He received it on July 9 and so far it's served him well, although it really takes a bit more time and use to have a good idea of how well a yoga mat performs.

I ordered this mat because I wanted one that was a little thicker, but not *TOO* thick. So far so good- I've used it for one class and it seemed to serve it's purpose pretty well. I washed it down beforehand and then washed it with the apple cider vinegar/water mixture, and let it dry out thoroughly, but I still noticed a fair amount of slipping during class. This could have been due to my sweaty hands, but I'd have to use it a few more times to really know for sure. All in all though, it's a solid mat and I think it will hold up well.

I purchased this as a gift for my mother so getting around to a review took some time. I actually got to try the mat out and its definitely sticky! Its probably one of the better sticky mats I have tried. The other thing I like about it is the comfort- it leaves little (temporary) imprints of where your feet once were. Kind of like a memory foam mattress. I like it so much I think I may get one for myself!

I really wanted to find a non-slip mat for my 75 minute yoga classes. I read the reviews and most people said that this one was a winner. I have used it about 5 or more times, and I slip just as much, if not more, than I did on my old cheaper mat. I even washed it as some of the comments suggested, but no luck :( I would send it back if I could. It is definitely nice quality and comfortable with the thickness of the mat. Unfortunately it's not of much use if my hands are slipping all over the place.

Very decent yoga mat, specially for the price. I use it for Yoga (duh) and for other exercises too (abs and push ups). It looks very durable, i think it will last me a long time.Is a bit slippy on the surface but nothing that bothers me.Overall, i recommend it.The only thing that lacks (and i don't understand why this is not standard for ALL yoga mats, not only this) is that does not come with a bag. Just charge 2 or 3 more bucks and add a mat! And this goes to everyone that makes mats.
