Better to be safe than sorry

I got this for my nephew because I was worried about him he’s been going outside a lot lately alone so I bought him this knife and I have my own but I bought it for him just in case if he ever gets put into a situation that requires him to use self-defense I would be very sad if something were to ever happen to him so at the very least giving him this knife makes me feel as if Even if I’m not around I can still protect him I just hope he will never have to use it but in my eyes it’s better to be safe than sorry
