Electro Harmonix 5MM Guitar Power Amp - Electric Guitar Amp in Pedal Format

This pedal is amazing! I have used many different heads through my 1x12 cab, but they all need to be way too loud in the house to push the speaker. This little thing sounds better than most of my heads at a nice low sound level. However don't let the size fool you, in my average size semi, I daren't push this to around half way before the neighbours would complain!! It also takes both pedals and multi effects extremely well. I've had great success with a boss gt1 and boss me50 running through it. I believe, in my very humble opinion, that for home use (and possibly light band practice) to get a sound that is more than acceptable even very good, all you really need is this pedal and a nice 10" to 12" cab and you are good to go. TC have outdone themselves with this one!!

It's not the loudest amp I've ever used but it does sound really good. Especially having three kids in the house.

Purchased as a gift, but had some good time playing through and testing different guitars and pedals with. Sounded great through a Marshall 2x12. Does a nice edge if break up tone then kicking in an overdrive really brings it to life.

I recently purchased a Night Destroyer pre-amp pedal from Hilbish Design, and while I can plug it into the effects loop of my existing amp I thought for home use a small solid state power amp would be ideal. Given that it's only only 2.5 watts I wasn't expecting a great deal of volume from it, but I was wrong. This is loud. I suspect the pre-amp helps here, but this will easily get to neighbour annoying levels.As for the pedal itself, it's the usual EHX compact pedal size, and comes with basic instructions, a power supply and some stickers.Set-up is straight forward, guitar > pre-amp > power amp > speaker cab. The 5MM power amp MUST only go into a speaker cab, not other pedals. There is no on switch so make sure the 5MM is connected to the cab before plugging the power supply in (otherwise it will cut out).You could use it on it's own, but I think it sounds a bit flat, it really needs over drive or better still a pre-amp pedal to get the best from it.

Needed a low output power amp for home volume. Feeding a number of pedals and a preamp into it. Doesn't distort at low level as shown in many youtube videos which makes it great for low volume playing, but is quite loud when turned up. Stays clean when needed and enables me to make the most of the tones put out by the preamp and pedals. Setting up another pedal board soon and will probably buy another.

Best amp head for home or rehearsal. I use it with a kemper profiler stage and it delivers the purest sound for any profile.

It drives a 12" celestion vintage 30 watt just fine...Does much more than I would expect a little 2.5 w amp to be capable of.Very nice for a bedroom guitarist like me. I'm using it with preamp amp sim pedals, and its fantastic.

Ottimo se associato ad uno speaker full range, in quanto riproduce tutta la gamma audio per le backing track.

小型キャビネットで使用中。ボリュームは極小で、ブライトスイッチは気分次第でON/OFFしています。人に聞かせる事を考えてないので、こちらでパワーアンプは十分です。プリアンプを取っかえ引っ変えしてますが、音質で不満になる事は皆無です。普段使いでこれで足りなくなる事なんて無さそうな気がします。
