Lower your expectations
Expect less from these headphones and you'll be positively surprised. Expect more, and you'll be sourly disappointed!I bought these to replace my old pair of Scosche headphones after much research and investigation. The NOCS are highly praised on the web, and have been compared to the top performers in their category, but my experience has been less than adequate. In fact, I bought the Costco 2-pair pack of Scosche headphones ([...]), and they sound MUCH better than these, for quarter of the price! The sound is weak and dull. While the overall tonal feel of the music is balanced, nothing really stands out, expect maybe a little bass here and there.Noise isolation is ok, but not enough for my taste. If no music is playing, these headphone do little to filter out noises. Some might find it useful for walking/running, where attention to your surrounding is important, though. Personally, I'm very disappointed by these headphones. I expected much more from them, considering they cost as much as the Klipsch S4i (http://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-Image-S4i-In-Ear-Headphones/dp/B008X8HZZO), and in retrospect, I would not by these again.Another issue, that might be minor to most people, is the lack of a cable clip. I use my headphones for exercise, and a cable clip allows me to hook the cable to the back of the shirt and out of the way. Scosche always include one in almost all of their models, and I have come to expect it from any pair of headphones that I buy. mistakenly, I've overlooked this when reading about these headphones. In short: If you're going to spend $80-90 on headphones, you're better off with the Klipsche S4i, Scosche IDR655 or Scosche IDR656.

I expected much better sound after having read through other reviews
I expected much better sound after having read through other reviews.Pros: love the tangle free design, very slim ear buds which fit nicely and the microphone blocks out wind and surround noise. I've had full conversations while on lake with lots of wind and the other caller had no idea I was outsideCons: Sound, it just isn't that good. Very little base and the overall sound just seems flat. I am not necessarily an audiophile but it drives me crazy listening to music with subpar headphones or speakers. These honestly don't sound much better than the standard apple earbuds that come with the iPhone 6. They stay in better and the microphone is better but sound quality is not the reason to buy these

Sound great, buds are terrible
I bought these to replace my Klipsch S4i earbuds when the headphone jack/wire started to tear. I was going to get the S4i II with the flat wire but I decided to try these instead. The Nocs sounds great and similar to the Klipsch they don't have a heavy bass but it's respectable. I also love the flat wire, which is very quiet when I walk, the iPhone controls, and the microphone works well.My big problem with these is the rubber earbuds. They are terrible. They give you 2 sets of 3 sizes which is nice but none of them fit my ears correctly. As a result I either can't get a good seal, get too tight of a seal that is uncomfortable, or they fall out after 10 minutes. It might be that I was spoiled with the Kllipsch, which are incredibly comfortable, but the earbuds not sitting comfortably in my ears is a dealbreaker. I'm going to keep using them since I spent $70 on them, but if I had a time machine I would have forked over the extra $20 for the Klipsch S4i II's.

Beware: Stops working after 1 year, still decent headphones.
I have bought 3 pairs of these since 2013.And literally to the date, they stop working 1 year after purchase. For the year that I have them they are great, but just expect that once that year mark hits they will either cut out on you, the wires at the audio jack point will mess up, or they will start hanging up on people. The worst part is that you can get a new pair if within a year they mess up, but every single time it's just over a year they stop working.

i love these
the sound quality is amazing its clear and very detailed (you wont be able to hear very much detail if you get your music from itunes because of their s#!^^y 256 kbps file storage blah blah blah get a cd and google how to put it on your device)it is very weak in bass even more then the klipsch s4i not that it should change your mind these are waaaaay better in sound durability and comfort (everything). the mic works fine ivve never had any problems and i am a quiet speaker. my only complaint is that the silicone eartips dont make a very good seal and are difficult to get a good one atleast with my weirdly shaped ear canals and comply doesnt make foam ones for them and from what ive been told they cant i dont know why but i as told that by one of the people working there thru facebook and emailthe good:sound: freaking amazing regardless of the seal you can get from the eartips, durable: im pretty sure i could hang myself with the cord or accidentally strangle myself while listening to music you got to love kevlarcomfort: all day and all night i listen to these and i dont have sore ears a little tip tho to avoid noise from the cable rubbing on clothes etc wrap the cord over your ear.... confused? google itprice: its not bad considering theyll last along time and they sound greatdesign: just look at the picture they look greatthe bad:well you do have to spend about a day burning them in like all headphones BUT ITS WORTH ITevery once in awhile it seems that the left ear phone gets a little quieter but that is probably my bad sinuses, hearing or whatever its most likely just me but i feel like i should say thatsummary:BUY THEM THEY ROCK THE ONLY REASON YOU SHOULDN'T IS IF YOURE A BASS LOVING FREAK OR YOU WANT TO GET THE BETTER NOCS LIKE NS800 OR THE TITANIUM VERSION OF THESE

PERFECT! NOCS is an awesome brand!
Considering the price, these are fantastic. You will not be disappointed with these headphones. Been using this pair almost everyday for months, haven't let me down yet. Would absolutely buy the more expensive sets from NOCS for the better sound quality, but for everyday use these are perfect.
