Description says it will hold a full bottle. Reviews say half bottle. False advertising??

It will hold a full bottle. However most people will not pour the whole bottle in at one time in order to have a greater air surface of the wine. I do half then fill it again when the first glasses have lowered the wine level.

I’m sure it is because it is strong glass but I wouldn’t put it in because I can’t imagine it would clean it well without pudding the water due to it’s shape. It’s easy to clean by hand. I’m very happy with it. Cheers!

How wide is it across the opening at the top?

Inside dimensions are oval shape, 3 inches by 2 3/4 inches.

It's glass, holds a whole bottle but is smaller than most. It's great for casual gatherings but you would want something bigger to aerate your expensive 20 year bottles.
