Landscape Graphics: Plan, Section, and Perspective Drawing of Landscape Spaces Review: Great for drawing landscapes - This seems like the perfect book for growing landscapes of glaciers and mountainous areas. I will be using the drawings and art as figures and talks and three books. I’m working on. Review: Great landscape reference - I've been taking some course work that requires doing landscape designs. This book has been very useful in developing a starting point to developing my own style of landscape graphics to use in my design work. The step by steps are clear enough to allow you to recreate similar style graphics, but not broken down to each line which saves space. :) I have not had an opportunity to compare this to the more recent edition, but based on the graphics I'm seeing in design samples offered by instructors, not much has changed other than you might be using a digital medium instead of a drafting board.

Definitely Worth Owning
This book has been so useful to me in my past year at school, I would never sell it back. The author takes you through the different kinds of drawings landscape architects and planners make, shows you how to draw elements of them not only quickly, but from different angles, and gives tips on how to improve the clarity of your drawings. I've personally practiced drawing trees by tracing the author's trees from this book. It's a wonderful resource. Even though it wasn't a required book by the teacher who recommended it to me, it has probably been one of the most useful books I've purchased relating to landscape graphics.

Great Book!
I purchased this book for one of my landscape architecture courses in college. It was a massive help in rendering my graphics and designs, as well as coming up with new designs. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is considering the landscape architecture field, or just enjoys sketching and drawing nature!

Terrific book for learning graphics and as a reference
I purchased this book as required per my Landscape Architecture graphics class at Ohio State University and 5 years out of college and I see refer to this book when I need help with my graphics or to use a new technique. Landscape Graphics gives you a step by step process on how to create trees, perspectives, ect; in addition to pages of graphic samples of people, ground covers, trees, shrubs, plan views, sections, lettering, and vehicles. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who sketches, or creates graphics in the architectural/landscape architectural field.

Correct symbols are very important.
I haven't had time to study this book yet but it appears to be just what I wanted. Drawing plans is crucial to any landscape design and using the correct symbols for what you want planted and where you want it planted is most important to any design. Any landscaper who can't read and understand a landscape design plan needs to buy this book and learn the symbols. An excellent teaching or learning tool for anyone associated with the landscaping profession. Pete McGill, Bonita Springs,Florida

Great!
Used to buy all my college books second hand, had to save every single penny to make rent and pay for school. The Book is in great shape and I LOVE it!

Great book as an introduction to graphics for landscape architecture students
Great guide and reference in preparing materials to introduce technical drawing to landscape architecture students. Content is organized well and there are plenty of samples shown to illustrate the topic. Print copy is small enough while the kindle copy makes it easy for me to check something from the book across devices.

I have used this book when I was doing architecture back from 1990 to 1996. And now when my daughter has entered the field, this is the first book I thought of gifting her for hand drawn graphics and lettering. A beautifully rendered book. An all time favourite and should sustain for generations to come.

Despite being six years since the second revised edition was published in 2002, this book is still a cracker. Normally I am a little wary of US publications for use in the UK but this excellent work rises above any minor international differences. As a newcomer to garden and landscape design, Grant Reid's book will be an invaluable help until I have enough experience to carry out "on auto pilot" the skills he explains. And even then the book will be a useful reference. The subject is comprehensively covered and presented in an easy-to-follow, superbly illustrated style. I would wholeheartedly recommend this book to both the enthusiatic beginner and to the experienced landscape designer as a handy reference. The next best thing to having an experienced designer sitting next to you.
