catchin up with the new normal
The book has been a great reference for my wife as she learned to use her new iphone. Glad I picked it up for her. Some of the new technology is different and not easy to learn if you are behind the times or don't have friends that you can buddy up in learning.

Great Series
In general, I have found books in the "for seniors" series by this publisher to be very well written. I first obtained a copy of this book from my local library. After reviewing the content, I decided it was a book that I wanted to have available for reference long term.I have found that it covers everything I wanted more information on. The writing style is one of the best I have encountered.Being able to review the book before purchase made it an easy choice for me. I have not been disappointed with my purchase.

Absolutely a life saver!
Thought I was smart enough to master my iPhone without help but this book was a life-saver. I discovered all kinds of things this amazing phone can do that I didn't know. Guess i should have asked my 4 year old granddaughter to teach me first, but the book has much better illustrations. It doesn't make you feel like a "dummy" and it's step by step with gorgeous illustrations.

There must be a better reference out there
There are lots of pictures and large print. However the 1st 3 things I looked up I could not find in the book or the index. e.g. setting up voicemail. Fortunately I have had an android for several years (not an iPhone) so I was able to figure this out. However I bought this book for a 75 y.o. gentleman who has never used a computer but just got an I phone. I'm not sure this book will be helpful to him. Hopefully it will help me to help him. I would not recommend the book for a computer 'naïve ' person

Solutions to questions that had been botghering mne,
Helped with several new problems. Solutions offered to problems that I had not found elsewhere. Had not known how to properly use Camera and Iphoto

Easy to Understand
Bought this book for my husband because we are not tech savy and got tired of hearing "why'd that do that? how do you....? what does this mean?" Now I hear a lot of "ah has". Lots of pictures, easy to read, and step by step instructions.

One fatal flaw: seniors till have to read it.
I bought this for my mother after buying her an iPhone. She still calls twice a week because she "doesn't know how she got there" and she still doesn't know what it means to restart the phone, but I can't and won't blame the book for that.

I Phone for Seniors
The book appears to be OK. I would have preferred more technical detail but used inconjunction with the Apple iPhone Manual, which you can down load from Apple for free, the two work well.

Clearly presented and very well laid out. Easy to follow and answers all those irritating little questions that everyone else assumes you know!!!

I got this for my 60 year old mother. ...
I got this for my 60 year old mother. She was offended by the title but boy did it do the trick. It worked so well she sends me photos of trivial things all the time. The number of "my morning coffee" messages I have gotten would make me never buy this book again. With the help of this book my mother came out of the dark ages and now texts, surfs and phones with all the millennials.

although written for i phone 4 this book does not cover i 0s 7 which my i phone 4 contains the cost of returning this uk edition is unfortunately too much a shame because this edition is well written and illustrated
