Powder Multipurpose Cleaner & Polisher, 12 Oz, 2 Pack

I’ve relied on various cleansers for my home maintenance, but this formulation remains the gold standard for restoring surfaces that standard dish soap cannot touch. I moved into my home about 2 years ago. It was built in 1963 and the garage sink had been painted white poorly. One day I noticed that it had a porcelain coating under the paint and seeing as this sink is really old cast iron I felt that restoring it would be way better than replacing it with modern junk. I used an eco friendly paint stripper and put plastic over it for 24 hours. Then I scraped away the paint. The first picture is with the paint removed and the second picture is after using barkeeper's friend. It's unbelievable how easily it cleaned everything up and removed the surface rust that bled through. I'll recoat the sink at a later time but for now I polished and waxed it to slow the rust until then. Like so many before me, this will be a permanent staple item to keep at home.

We had black marks on our butcher block countertops left from a cast iron skillet left on the block. Not from a hot skillet mind you just from a room temperature skillet that would leave a mark. We also had a metal vertical paper towel holder that also left marks. These countertops were coated with Waterlux sealer but that did not prevent the marks. I hated the idea of having to sand the countertops again and reseal them. So I did a little research and bought and tried Bar Keepers Powder - which worked great! I made a little paste of the stuff, let it sit for about 15 minutes, then some gentle scrubbing and like magic the black marks were gone and the surface of the butcher block was just fine again! Thank you those who posted that this stuff works. You saved me so much work.

I was very hesitant after reading some of the reviews posted however my instinct was to just try and see what happens! I’m so excited I did and I have zero regrets! Works like magic with minimal effort! I didn’t scrub much at all! I did apply a few times while cleaning off and reapplying! My old stainless sink looks brand new! Worked perfectly in kitchen & bathrooms! Will be my new go to cleaner! Highly recommend wearing gloves! Minor smell but no overpowering smell!

Really impressed with how well this stuff cleans. Used it on my stainless steel pans and they looked brand new — no scratching at all, just lifted the grime right off. My kitchen sink and stovetop also came out great. Even tackled the toilet bowl better than my usual cleaner. The only thing I'll mention is the odor is a bit funky. Not overpowering, but noticeable enough that I open a window when I use it. Doesn't take away from how well it works though.

This product is a must have for cleaning just about everything. I left a pot on the stove i was able to clean the pot and got out all of the burns

If you have never used Bar Keepers Friend, you should try it! I am always amazed at how it removes stains from tubs and toilets with very little scrubbing. When I have stubborn water or rust spots, Bar Keepers does the job! I have never noticed any scratches from using it. It has a very mild smell and is practically odorless. I will apply it to the tub, add a little water to rub it around, wait 10 minutes, and then rinse clean. One use typically cleans everything, but I reapply for really stubborn stains.

This stuff is amazing at removing hard water stains. We live on a Well water system in south Texas. Very hard and mineralized water. I gave this a try on our 2021 Ford E-450 motorhome. I just mixed a little of the powder with distilled water. Applied to windows and mirrors with a micro fiber towel, rinsed after a couple of minutes and dried with a clean micro fiber towel. I have never seen the windows and mirrors so clean. Most of those water spots were years old. I then went to our Toad a Ford Maverick Hybrid and got the same results. Could not be easier to apply. I thought I had tried about every cleaner on the market. But this was the only one that worked.
