3 year UPDATE : Well worth the money for self priming!! I pump degreaser with it.
This pump was about the cheapest I can find that was self priming without being submersible. I use this pump at a restaurant pumping degreaser from a 5 gallon bucket. We use about 5 gallons a week. I have the pump mounted on the wall and under the 3 compartment sink. The lift is around 4 feet without any issues. It gets used everyday. I have 2 12v 7amp SLA batteries connected in parallel. 4th month UPDATE : This pump is still working awesome. It has pumped about 80 gallons of sanitizer in 4 months. Power source is 2 12v 7ah SLA connected in parallel. I have not has to charge it yet. I should do it soon since it has been 4 months considering SLA batteries are best kept charged. On a side note: when I first got this product, I connected it to my 2 gallon manual pump sprayer. With only water, I was curious to see how well it would work if I ever wanted to connect it to a pesticide sprayer. It didn't work so well due to low pressure. I have a feeling that if I used a 100psi pump, it would do much better. Just incase someone was thinking of using it for a sprayer. ******** 3 year update *********** This pump is still working great pumping degeaser into a 3 compartment sink. Still using about 5 gallons a week. I can't say anything bad about the pump. I would buy it again without thinking twice.

Good Little Water Pump
Works as advertised. A little noisier than I would like, but then we don't use it very much so I does not bother me. Pressure triggered so it turns off once the water turns off. I did put it on a switch so cannot run while we are towing. (in case some water line comes loose, you don't want it pumping water). Was going to give it a 3, but except for noise it works great so giving it a 4.

great pump - I use it for oil
I didn't think I would need the over-pressure shutoff switch but I did need it on my first power up! I'm using this pump to clean the oil in a high vacuum pump. I connected up this pump in line with a water from fuel separator (to filter out water). As soon as I turned it on, it went to full pressure and shut off. As it turns out, the filter housing was defective and inlet port was totally blocked. Anyway, this pump works great and have a higher flow rate that what I really need.

Using it as a Sump Pump
I purchased two of these pumps (one as a reserve) to use as a battery powered sump-pump. So far (2 storms in one week) it has performed perfectly. It does not have to run continuously (only when the water rises and turns on a float-switch, averaging about 1 part on to 5 parts off), and I am running it on half voltage (a large 6 V gell-cell easily capable of supplying the required 2 amperes for a long time). It has run only an hour total so far, pulling slightly silty water thru the ShurFlo strainer that Amazon suggested with the pump, so I hope it will last a long time (but I have the second pump ready, just in case). The pump is mounted about 1 foot above the sump and discharges into a sink 2 feet above it. Before buying, I read other reviews, including one from which I calculated that the pump has a service-life on the order of 200 hours. It is working well so far but it is too soon to know how long it will last in my installation; I will add another review in a month, or sooner if it fails.

A Little Tricky
UPDATE This pump is absolute rubbish. I took delivery Dec 14 2019. It is today March 2 2020. It is done. It leaks through the diaphragm. I think it must of been leaking slowly for quite some time. If you take it apart there is a switch with a reset on it. I took the unit out in January and had to reset it as the pump had packed up. 2 days ago it went again. This time I could see what had happened. The diaphragm pukes water directly into the switch so naturally it trips. The grunting I mentioned is the pump slowly leaking and needing to repressurize. It is also not powerful enough. 1.1 gallon per minute is just not strong enough. If you pay $16 for a pump you get a 3rd rate piece of S***. The return date ended 31st January. You can't make this stuff up!! I will buy a really good quality unit to replace it and NOT 1.1 g/m Do yourself a favor skip this one and spend a bit more money :) Overall this pump woks well. Especially when you consider the price. It was very easy to install. Just 4 screws through some rubber feet. The hose I used was 1/2" in diameter and 3/8" inside diameter. This is the perfect fit. I used miniature clamps and although not really needed it was a good idea just in case. The unit turns on and off with water flow. It is somewhat noisy and the flow isn't terribly powerful. The input and output are not marked so you have to experiment with it. I used a bucket of water and crocodile clips on my car battery. Big picture this will get the job done for a little sink and faucet. The price is super cheap, it is good value for money. Update: If you do not have a switch to turn power off it will grunt every now and then. Enough to keep you awake at night. No there is no water leaking it just grunts. I will add a nice switch by the faucet. Probably a good idea anyway.

works great.
initial review: not too disturbingly loud. i see a few people being concerned about flow direction. there is a pretty obvious arrow on bottom of pump showing which one is the outlet. the barbed fittings could definitely stand to be a bit longer. is being used at our off grid cabin to pump drinking water into a faucet intended to be hooked up to a reverse osmosis filter. we have a separate pump for non potable water(doing dishes, flushing toilets, showering, etc)... the only issue i currently have is, if you turn the faucet on too slowly, the pump clicks on and off. the on psi(low) and the off psi(high) need to be a bit farther away for my use, but its a minor issue. it has been running since a week before i wrote this review. i am very diligent about updating reviews as things fail, or as i find issues, so if no edits are written above "initial review", its working wonderfully.

Good little pump. Performs exactly as expected. Installed in popup camper and have loved it. Seems to run at around .5 amps. Pressure leaves much to be desired and as I can't test the flow I am assuming 1gpm is what I'm getting. I am running a camplux 5l with this pump and I am pleased with the performance out camping.

This little diaphragm pump works really well for sending water from my fish pond to a micro-irrigation system in my garden. The current draw is less than 3 amps, so it is suitable for running on a small (18 Ah, 12 v) solar powered battery. The self priming feature is excellent as it can pump air or water, and this takes away the frustration of the priming problems with a small centrifugal pump. I would have given the pump 5 stars, except for a problem I had with the pressure sensor. This sensor (in the box to the right of the pump) is designed to stop the pump if a pressure higher than the maximum (about 2.5 bar) is sensed. With my irrigation system the sensor was switching on and off rapidly (about 3 times per second), even though the system is all at ground level. After a while the pump/sensor quit entirely and it was impossible to wake up the pump. I then shorted out the pressure sensor and the system now works fine.

Pump works well, better than a lot at same or higher prices. One thing is that its pretty loud but at this price its well worth it!
