These are pretty decent. The metal grabbing end is made of cast material and the teeth are lightly edged instead of being deep. The tool itself has an adjustment that is supposed to lower grabbing tension, but the tension is pretty low to start with and while it gets the job done I can't imagine how much use it might be to adjust it. I used this to strip three part residential wire first. It did a very good job of pulling off the outer casing without hitting inner wires and then striped the inner wires very easily as well. One at a time. Electronics is a hobby of mine and I tested it on several types of wire. From 24 awg multistrand to 10awg. As well as single strand residential 12awg. It performed fine for all of them without adjustments or tinkering. It is a verrt good deal and for the money was well worth it for what it does because using hand srenghth or wrist torque on wire is fine once or twice, but after 50-60 reps of it you can tell its not great for your hands (at least at my age) So for the stars... I gave it four out of five for ease of use, the stripping end could be a little sharper, the tension could be a little finer and the length gauge woul be more useful made of the same cast metal as the rest of the tool part of the body instead of a thin strip of flexy plastic. But it works and it does so properly if a bit imprecise and it is easy to use, overall I a rate it as great but not excellent or perfect. The value is outstanding and I gave it five stars. I expected less than I got for my money, and saw tools I expect are identical or at least 99% identical for twice as much money at stores in my town. The "thickness" rating I gave four stars... It may refer to durability, or to the wire gauges it works with... 5/5 on the wire gauges, it took a bit of attention to put three part 12/2 in it, but it went in, and stripped fine. Tool thickness is a bit deceptive, the handle is cheap pressed steel plates with handles on them but the handles are rubberized and overall seem durable. Overall I gave this a 4 star rating, a tool that works, seems solid, and is inexpensive is always great, I feel like a couple of small adjustments could improve it without much of a cost and perfect it. I would recommend this or if I found a need, buy another of the same.

These wire strippers save so much time, I can't believe I didn't get them sooner. I got them to do some wiring on my camping trailer, and used them to replace several ceiling fans. The build quality is great; they feel very solid. They look like they have a solid steel skeleton and nice plastic handles with rubberized inserts. They are perfect for cutting, stripping, and crimping wires. The amount of insulation that you strip is easily adjustable. If you do any significant amount of electrical work, I highly recommend these. It certainly beats trying to have a gentle touch with a pair of wire cutters or a pocket knife!

There are not comparable good devices in the price range The wire stripper works perfectly and is well to very well made. The shipping was also very quick. -Isolates multiple cables at the same time -Can not only strip cable ends but also areas in the middle -In my case it even works with 4 cable cross sections up to 0.2 Square millimeter at the same time -Can be used well in areas that are difficult to access I would buy the product again and also recommend it!

I purchased this wire stripper based on a lot of positive reviews. But it's just ok. If you're working on small circuit projects, the stripper works well, but not great if you only want to strip a tiny bit. You almost to strip more than you want, and then cut off the excess. Then recently I was trying to use it on 12/2 romex and I was having trouble. Either the healing side wouldn't hold and it would slip. Or the cutter/stripping side wouldn't strip. Or it would tear the insulation off back from the holding knuckle rather than the stripper, again taking too much off. Don't know how often I will use these. Good thing they weren't that expensive.

The pliers are a real miracle and work perfectly, especially the separation in the middle of the cable is great. The insulation is not excessively stressed at the pinch points (hardly leaves any marks). The wire stripper works well, individual wires can be stripped easily without damaging the copper conductor, and several wires of the same diameter can be stripped at the same time. Solidly built, has not failed so far, neither with very, nor with very thick cables, and I have the felling that the pliers will continue to do their job for years to come.
