Q: Does it shows the signal with disturbance if there is a capacitor faulty in the circuit?

if you know what youre looking for or are checking multiple identicle circuits, you should be able to spot the defective one. It DOES NOT have dual axis inputs to check components (diodes make an "L" shape, capacitors a circle, ect}.

Q: Will this measure up to 240v AC?

Yes. Youre doing work on split phase AC, im guessing, it works fine. It will beep at you if anything is spiking too high. Im not sure of the exact specs but its going to be in the description/specs. I have used mine on much higher voltages. Its not a great scope but comes in very handy. I lost my first one and ordered another immediately.

Q: Can this be used to set gains on an amplifier?

No, it’s junk and I bought a DD-1 to set amp gains and that worked.
