Zero Sugar! Zero Carbs! Try them all and see, I did.
Let me start by saying that I haven’t had real soda in over 5 years due to the high sugar content, so my review could be thrown off by my cravings for some soda that tastes like my favorite flavors, vice 50g of sugar. Before quitting soda in its entirety, my favorite flavors were Dr. Pepper, Coca-Cola, and Sprite. I bought the variety pack in an effort to give the fullest review possible for Zevia products! Here are my findings, no flavor left out but starting with my favorites(note: all flavors are the new “clear” versions): Soda like flavors- Ginger Ale: 9/10, great mixer for my favorite cheaper whiskeys, Jameson, Bulliet, etc… It’s a great authentic ginger flavor, as Zevia actually used real ginger and citrus oils so it’s also good on the stomach like real ginger ale. It’s definitely a flavor that I keep on hand for all occasions, get togethers or afternoon refreshment. Dr. Zevia: 10/10, pleasantly surprised! In the past Dr. Pepper was my everyday drinker so letting go of these sugary and carb loaded drinks were depressing to say the least. NOW, the time has come that I discovered my old friend but dressed a little differently in packaging. Absouletly great and similar in flavor to the real thing. Perfect score for me! Cola: 8/10, deliciously refreshing! I’ve noticed a lot of negative feedback on the Cola flavor but I don’t see the problem that others talk about. Bad aftertaste? Have you not realized the aftertaste of real Cola?? It’s the same thing, all soda leaves an aftertaste so get used to this after taste or let your teeth rot and drink your daily intake of sugar in one sitting with Coca-Cola. Now, for me the flavor is spot on and I really enjoy the similar flavors brought out Zevia in the Cola flavor! Ginger Root Beer: 9/10, bubbly than ever but great flavor. This is actually the first Zevia flavor I tried and what turned me on to buying the entire variety pack and trying them all. Flavor is perfect in all aspects, reminds me of drinking A&W Root Beer. Now all flavors of Zevia are quite bubbly bit this flavor in particular felt like it needed to ‘rest’ for a moment before drinking or else it felt like the liquid you sipped up turned into pure bubbles in your mouth! Aftertaste, again you just need to accept that all soda has an aftertaste so if it’s not the same as your normal root beer then continue to rot your brain. Cherry Cola: 9/10, big fan after stepping out of my comfort zone. I haven’t been a big fan of cherry cola, ever, but this flavor enabled me to have a change in heart towards cherry flavored refreshments. NOT overly sweet like the real deal, so this could be a turn off or a turn on. Give it a try and decide for yourself! Mountain Zevia: 9/10, big flavor and right flavor! I really enjoyed this one and believe it relates to Mountain Dew but I actually like it better than what I remember from the actual soda. Flavors of orange, lime, lemon and grapefruit run through my veins with this drink, but wait maybe that’s the caffeine! This one has a nice boost in it for some reason. Maybe have this one like a pre-workout, or before you hit this slopes this winter season. Caffeine Free Cola: 8/10, didn’t taste the difference between the Cola and this caffeine free flavor so that’s a plus! Not much to say here except that its good for that late night craving without the caffeine involved. Cream Soda: 6/10, this one is personal. NOT a cream soda fan so I could barely stomach 3 sips to get the flavor. If you like cream soda then this might be for you! Lemon Lime Twist: 4/10, cleaning product? Very disappointing flavor, especially if this is the Sprite equivalent. I thought I was drinking something from underneath my kitchen sink. Sorry Zevia, better luck next time on this one. Fruity flavors- Grapefruit Citrus: 10/10, my favorite of the fruity’s! I was actually pleasantly surprised by this flavor and would but it over and over again. It is a great mix of grapefruit and lemon lime flavors that meet perfectly in the middle. Not like a juice, not like a soda, but just right! Also, caffeine free! Black Cherry: 8/10: another flavor great flavor! Honestly wasn’t expecting much of this one but it was delicious. A good berry soda without the old normal flavors involved. Again, not juice flavors but soda with strong hints of black cherry. Caffeine free! Orange: 8/10, if you’re a orange soda fan then this flavor is great! Haven’t been an orange soda in the past due to such a thick flavor feeling hitting my taste buds this flavor has just the right amount of flavor and classic soda feeling. Again, caffeine free! Grape: ??/10, Wow couldn’t drink this one to give it a review, but hey it smelled like grape juice! Not a fan, try someone else to get this review. Strawberry: 7/10, strawberry just isn’t a flavor that goes with bubbly soda to me but I could see this being a great mixer with your liquor of choice! OR if you have kids, this could be a great non-sticky fruit drink. Caffeine free!! These are just my opinions and tastebuds so before you let people’s negatives reviews get the best of your “add to cart” click, just think of how many people come on just to complain because they have been drinking real soda “all” of their life. These drinks are by far the closest thing to real soda without the terrible health side effects. I don’t know about you, but these will stay stocked in my fridge!! Note: I still drink these daily so I will check back in to update my review if I have a change in heart.

Zevia Zero Review I’ve been trying out Zevia Zero for a few weeks, and here are my thoughts on this zero-calorie soda: 1. Flavor and Taste Zevia Zero comes in a variety of flavors, and I sampled the Cola and Ginger Root Beer. The Cola flavor has a distinct stevia aftertaste, which might take some getting used to if you’re accustomed to traditional sodas. However, the Ginger Root Beer was surprisingly good, with a nice balance of spice and sweetness1. 2. Ingredients and Health Benefits One of the biggest selling points of Zevia Zero is its clean ingredient list. It contains no artificial sweeteners, colors, or preservatives. Instead, it uses stevia, a natural sweetener, which makes it a healthier alternative to regular sodas that are loaded with sugar and artificial ingredients1. Additionally, it’s free from high fructose corn syrup and calories, making it a great option for those watching their weight1. 3. Carbonation and Refreshment The carbonation level in Zevia Zero is just right—it’s fizzy enough to be refreshing but not overly so. It’s a great drink to have on a hot day or after a workout when you need something to quench your thirst without the added calories1. 4. Overall Experience While the taste might not be for everyone, especially if you’re not used to stevia, Zevia Zero is a solid choice for those looking to cut down on sugar and artificial ingredients. It’s a healthier alternative to traditional sodas and offers a good variety of flavors to choose from. If you’re on a health kick or just want to try something new, Zevia Zero is worth a shot

The Good, Bad, and Overall...
The Good: Outstanding packaging! Variety pack was perfect to find what I like best. Crisp bite (carbonation) with sweet taste. The Bad: A few (only a few) cans had obvious dirt on rims with a few cans sticky; which is sad compared to the outstanding packaging. Overall: I found what flavors I like and changed my subscription to reflect. If you are unsure of what you may or may not like; try the variety pack. My Review by flavor: Cola: It's cola with a splash of lemon; unfortunately I hate lemon in cola. Caffeine Free Cola: Disappointed by above said lemon... Cream Soda: A Swing and a Miss; I love cream soda but this is carbonated water with a vanilla aftertaste. Grapefruit: Not Fresca; think more ruby red grapefruit. I'm more of a white grapefruit guy, but this is still good. Ginger Root Beer: A juxtaposition gone wrong. Taste like Ginger Ale mixed with A&W Root Beer. I'll pass on this one. Ginger Ale: Strong ginger flavor with a great bite. My 2nd favorite! Mountain: No... just no. Orange: Good flavor; more tangerine but good. Dr: Taste like something the doctor makes you take. OK not that bad, but it really doesn't have must taste to it - perhaps a whiff of flavor? Black Cherry: My favorite! Outstanding bold flavor! Awesome - Awesome - Awesome! Lemon Lime Twist: Carbonated water with a twist of lemon - if that is your kind of thing. All reviews are based upon my personal taste buds and flavor may vary.

Zevia Convert!
Orange- Has a sort of weird powdery flavor. Kind of tastes medicinal but it’s drinkable. I won’t be purchasing this flavor again, however. Dr Zevia- It’s Mr. Pibb, but with extra cherry flavor. I wish it had more of that deep plum(?) sort of undertone that Dr. Pepper has instead. Mountain Zevia- Not like Mountain Dew. Tastes more like a watery Mello Yellow, but it’s good and one of my favorites. Grapefruit- Sometimes grapefruit flavored things are AGGRESSIVE but this isn’t too strong at all; the flavor is amazing. It’s super refreshing and delicious. Cola/Caffeine free cola- Doesn’t taste like any cola flavor I’ve had before, but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s very citrusy. Cream soda- If you’ve ever had red cream soda (it sort of tastes sort of like pink bubblegum, in a way), this is like a halfway point point between Big Red and A&W cream soda. It’s good. Strawberry- Not included in the rainbow pack. I purchased a six pack of these at a local grocery store and it was an excellent decision. It tastes reminiscent of strawberries and cream gummy candies, but not as in-your-face with the flavor. This is another favorite! Black Cherry- I absolutely hate cherry flavored things usually (I love fresh cherries), but this wasn’t terrible. I think my problem with other cherry flavored things is that they tend to be syrupy+sticky and remind me of cough syrup. This isn’t like that at all. It’s alright! If you actually enjoy cherry cola, this is a good pick. Ginger root beer- I’ve had this flavor before, and I did a side by side comparison with diet barq’s. At the time, I thought it was disgustingly sweet and had a really off flavor, but after getting used to zevia soda, I actually really enjoyed this. The ginger really stands out. It’s unlike Barq’s and A&W so if you’re expecting a perfect replacement for either, you won’t enjoy it. If you just like root beer and won’t have any preconceived ideas of what root beer “should” taste like, give it a go. Lemon lime twist- No lime flavor whatsoever haha. I guess I was expecting Sprite, but what I got was carbonated lemonade. It’s okay, though. I’d love to try a sparkling limeade flavor by zevia, because I imagine it would be quite nice. Ginger ale- I love this one. I could have this with every meal if zevia wasn’t so pricy. Again, it has that strange powdery sort of flavor that orange had, but it wasn’t off-putting in this. It’s been forever since I’ve had Canada Dry, so I really can’t tell you how it stands up to that, but if you like the taste of ginger, you’ll like this. Grape- My husband was most excited for this flavor so I saved it for last. I think he was expecting that, uh, fake “purple” flavor rather than a true grape flavor (you know what I’m talking about), but he enjoyed it either way. It’s one of the best. I think that’s all of them. Over all I must say that, except for orange, zevia really knows their citrus flavors. I hope I made clear, relatable descriptions of flavor so that others may have an easier time imagining what they’re getting into before purchasing. Strawberry ended up being the favorite between both my husband and myself so I went ahead and ordered a 24 pack off of amazon, but I imagine I will cycle between ginger ale, grapefruit, mountain zevia, grape and strawberry. But what I really wish is that I could pick my own flavors for the 24 pack. :o)

Not bad, not great
Zevia Colas are doing something that way too few cola manufacturers even attempt to do properly. Without any if the "bad stuff", you can drink these without worrying about side effects of artificial flavors, sweeteners, dyes, and of course, too much sugar. Couldn't find anything on the ingredient list to pick apart. Every single one of these sodas is clear, which I think is great. For general reference to sweetness, I've always preferred that mainstream 'red' brand name cola over the mainstream 'blue' brand cola. Never liked blue as I always found it too sweet, and didn't have the same bite as the red. Zevia has that "bite" from the carbonation, but is sweetener than nearly any cola I've previously tried. All of this said, I'm not particularly fond of the aftertaste of stevia, but I can tolerate it. The majority of the Zevia flavors are far too sweet for me, with a lot more of the stevia sweetener than necessary. The absolute worst was the Cherry cola, the mountain zevia, and the Dr. Zevia. Could probably cut it down by half or more and would still be more than sweet enough. Other flavors have the same general problem, but not all quite as bad as those. Zevia colas tend to taste and feel lighter to me than heavier sugar or corn syrup colas. They're also a lot stickier. Not sure if it's from the excess amount of stevia (in my opinion), it if stevia is just stickier than sugar and corn syrup. I haven't decided yet if I'll buy anymore after I finish the few cases I purchased, or if I'll just go back to flavored carbonated waters. If I do, I'll probably stick to the couple of flavors I found most tolerable. Orange, cola, and uncaffeinated cola were probably the most tolerable to me, though still sweetened more than necessary. All in all, they're healthy enough they are worth trying. And if you like really sweet colas or don't mind that stevia aftertaste, then you'll probably enjoy these more than I did.

Need a poison for a nerdy party role-play? Look no further! Comes in many flavors!
I haven't tried every flavor but each one I open is a new adventure in awful. Cream soda-tasted like cream soda for a moment and then the after taste was foul my husband tried and and the after taste was apparently the same flavor as when his child hood parrot threw up in his mouth. So thanks for having him relieve that wierd disgusting experience. After this experience he has since refused to try any more flavors. Cola-Watered down regular sams club with a hint of Poison. Ginger root beer- Like waterd down poison infused with those hard root beer candies that taste vaguely sorta like rootbeer. Dr. Zevia- Heavily sweetened poison, with for some reason a hint of cherry cough syrup? And it is somehow probably the best tasting wich is so depressing. Grape- I may be dying. The taste gives me a headache and is probably grape flavored medicne mixed with anthrax or animal venom. The aftertaste. I give up I'm trying all these flavors now. A drink should not be so bad it has to be drank "correctly". Drink it fast. Or like a weirdo smacking your tongue agains the roof of your mouth rapidly. And it will only taste like a hint of grape. But drink it normally and you have murdered your taste buds, do no savor it, do not let it linger. Grape has the worst after taste and whats more cruel it is DELAYED. Orange- Has now beaten Dr.Zevia. Its not god awful, but it's not good either. Slightly taste of nothing wich is a wonderful reprieve. I'm fearful I may have murdered my taste buds though since I can't taste it or its aftertaste. I will edit this as I keep testing them. Tip- They don't taste as awful if you swallow real damn fast or swallow directly after taking a bite of some food. Also, they seem to leave a weird slightly slimey film on the roof of my mouth the longer I drink. Like mt Dr. Poison taste like it won't kill me but just probably make me sick if I drink it with gum in my mouth.

Great choice for diabetics
I have a huge problem with the most commonly-used artificial sweeteners like aspartame (Equal) and sucralose (Splenda) used in most sodas: they cause me nerve damage. I may be an extremely rare case, but lots of experimenting over the years with my doctor has proven the point, and I suspect other folks may be suffering (knowingly or unknowingly) from the same reaction as mine to those sweeteners. Thing is, I'm also diabetic, so table sugar is a no-no. What are my alternative choices for soda? Stevia and monkfruit are the two sweeteners that I mostly rely on, as they seem to cause me no problems. When it comes to soda, that pretty much means Zevia (sweetened with stevia) and Virgil's no-sugar sodas (sweetened with monkfruit). The Virgil's has terrific flavor -- IF you like a very old-style or Craft-style root beer -- but is hard to find and expensive once you do (typically $1.25 to $2.50 for a 12-ounce can or bottle). Zevia isn't quite as tasty, but it's still very good, comes in a wide array of flavors, has no coloring agents (all the varieties are clear), and is much more widely available (here at Amazon, and also at some Target and Safeway stores). BUT, it can also be more expensive than I want to pay, ranging from 80-cents to $1 per can, or more if you're not careful about watching for sales. THIS variety pack provides a very good selection and a more reasonable price (about 50-65 cents per can). Yeah, that's still more than Diet Pepsi or Diet Coke on sale most anywhere. But Zevia is a good, high-quality product. I down-rate it at all simply because some of the flavors are of little interest to me, but there's no real alternative offerings. You can't, for example, match this price buying the same large quantity of just one flavor of Zevia like root beer or caffeine-free cola. But overall a good value. Addendum on 4/1/23: Dear me, the product I was specifically reviewing -- a 24-can variety pack for about $15 -- has changed price. Now more like $20-24. It wasn't previously listed as being on special sale, so I'm saddened by the sudden change in price. Now it appears to be running 90-cents to over $1 a can, depending on what you choose to order. It's still worthwhile for me -- sugary options and anything with artificial sweeteners remain no-gos for me -- but I'm frustrated by it. If you're going to order, check the pricing carefully.

You will like them . . . eventually.
Making the switch to drinking Zevia sweetened by stevia leaf-extract for the first time is like making the switch to diet soda from regular soda. There is a distinct flavor that you might not like at first, but it will eventually grow on you. But you gotta do it for the health reasons and before you know it, your palete will adjust. Here is my rundown of the different Zevia flavors. This is after years of drinking diet soda. Cola - Doesn't taste like any other cola I've had. I could be wrong but, it's more like a sarsaparilla with notes of bubble gum. Root Beer - This flavor marries well with the stevia sweetener. If you're a root beer aficionado though, you might miss the caramel/molasses flavor. Ginger Ale - Very strong ginger flavor here. This one is a winner if you like ginger ales. It even slightly tickled my nose the way old-fashioned ginger ales do. Cream Soda - I'm not sure what makes cream soda creamy but this one is lacking it. On the plus side, this flavor profile (like the Root Beer) masks the stevia well. Grape - Nice grape flavor. I don't have much expectations from a grape soda and this version didn't disappoint. Black Cherry - Winner! Winner! Chicken dinner! Best flavor of the batch! Lemon Lime - This one was just OK. Not much to complain about, but not very exciting either. Orange - Maybe it's because I love orange soda, but this flavor didn't do it for me. It tastes like eating one of those Smarties candies. Mountain Zevia - Not what I expected and like the Lemon Lime flavor it just wasn't memorable. Dr. Zevia - My first impression was that this tastes like medicine. Yuck! But after a few cans, it has kind of grown on me and actually reminds me of a red Ice Tickles freezer pop. Not my first choice, but if it was in my fridge, I would drink it with no complaints. Grapefruit Citrus- This one was not bad. It was kind of lacking in grapefruit flavor when compared to a can of Squirt Zero Sugar, but it will do in a pinch. One complaint I do have is that there are just way too much bubbles. I always have to temper it before it is drinkable. But overall, I'm very satisfied with these Zevia soda drinks. In the end, I just pray that they don't find some adverse side effects of Stevia leaf-extracts. Otherwise, it's back to the drawing board again!
