Narrow and Close Minded LDS members are allowing the adversary to trick them
You cannot put new wine in old bottles, just as you can't put new revelations, thoughts, ideas born of the spirit into old (close minded) Latter Day Saints (those who fear the new things the Lord is willing to reveal to us personally through the spirit - not directly through the words of a prophet who has the mantle for the church, not personal revelation).I have read many pages of comments, and have found a common theme amongst those who are giving 1 or 2 star reviews, stating a common theme of having bad feelings come as they continued reading, or feeling icky, or dark as they read, some even state they feel confused and sick inside. My purpose here is to open your mind just enough to maybe realize something we all miss too commonly in our LDS history with one of the most important visions in these latter days. When Joseph Smith entered the sacred grove to do as the bible directed him to do, which was to pray to God and ask him for knowledge, what happened to that young boy? Was it blissful revelation? Did he feel joy and peace for praying? If I were like most saints, slightly ignorant, and not ready for new wine in my old bottle, I may take the approach the negative commentors are taking when they feel bad feelings reading this book. But imagine for a minute what would have happened (or better said, what would NOT have happened) if Joseph had the same philosophy and closed mindedness as these needing-to-be-enlightened LDS members are showing in their comments (I used to be one, until I prayed and figured it out).If I feel bad, it must be of the devil. So if Joseph took that same approach these LDS members are taking, he would have easily been able to say with his limited education, at the tender age of 14, that "Prayer must be of the devil, and is evil, and not of the Lord, because as I prayed on my knees in a soft but audible voice, all hell came upon me (or in your words, I felt completely drained of any good feeling), and I was destined for destruction (paraphrasing)".I am not here to rip into you, but to invite you and any others to have a more open mind. You cannot put new wine into old bottles. You cannot put new beautiful truths into stubborn close-minded hearts and minds (and possibly into the hearts and minds of those Latter Day Saints who are disctracted with the things, media, movies, etc. of this world). It is a hard line to learn, but must be learned if we are to separate the Devil's desire to thwart our own first visions (keeping an open mind was key to Joseph's visions, as such was the opposite views in his time, no more revelations or visions, let alone God the Father and Christ visiting man on earth was constantly preached). I worry that you are close-minded due to being drained of any good feeling. God does not drain us, Satan does. God lifts us and fills us with good feelings. God warns us with a recognizable feeling (not confusion or draining - that is the devil).Joseph would have missed the first vision and may have been right here commenting with those others stating they felt evil, darkness, or drained of all good feelings, if he had a closed mind like these commentors. Those feelings are not of God. Joseph was maybe the first in our dispensation to teach us this over-looked lesson about discerning the Devil's constant and unending attempts to get us to believe, that when we are about to get new wine into our hearts and minds, so to speak, he comes and persuades us with his cold and icky presence, such that if we are not careful, we will believe him, and dismiss the first vision we may have had, simply because he, the devil caused us to feel dark, drained, or otherwise. GOD DOES NOT GIVE US THOSE FEELINGS! SATAN DOES! Think about that, ponder it, and read the book again with that new found perspective.Joseph was not alone. Moses had a similar experience, but in reverse sequence, where satan was not about to let him feel good about just having visited with Jehovah. So with all the love and respect of our hearts, please don't allow yourself, don't cheat yourself of new wine (beautiful sacred personal revelation) because you feared the feelings of the Devil who came to cause confusion and get you to think this book was evil, thus missing out on all the beautiful first visions you can have from reading it with a prayerful heart and the Spirit's direction.Learn this lesson. God does not give us dark feelings ever never ever! Satan does. Learn to discern the stupor of thought (God's way to help warn us of false doctrine and books that will lead us astray). Learn to discern the spirit warning you. But also, and maybe most importantly with the common theme of the negative reviews on this book, learn to recognize the icky, dark, draining feelings of the Devil, and that usually they are there with books like this, not because you are wrong in reading the book, nor are you sinning or going against the brethren, but they are due to the devil not wanting you to have the first vision he knows you will have (like Joseph) if you can work through the devil's cold, dark, draining influence, just as joseph did.Open your mind and we hope you will receive the same sacred personal temple-like revelations we did as we read this book, fought through any of Satan's deceptions, and kept a prayer in our heart, and gleaned from the spirit for our own personal insight.Just as an FYI - we have gifted this book to many beloved bishops and stake pres. members we have known over the years. Each of them have come back and shared the beautiful personal insights they have gained from the book, not to mention how it has opened their minds (new wine in new bottles) to help so many struggling members with issues that they (the leaders) were not sure they understood until they read this book and the spirit taught them what they needed to understand due to their open mind and heart.Church is true.

Enjoyable, fascinating, fills in blanks but be careful and prayerful about it.
I just finished this book up until the appendix. It was an enjoyable book to read. I liked the detailed descriptions of what Spencer saw in his visions. Here are some thoughts:His vision of watching a man giving into his porn addiction made quite an impression on me, especially since being close to loved ones who struggle with this. His words about how departed addicted spirits are still chained to their addictions and stay around living addicts corroborates with other visions I have read.I'm not sure how many other people noticed, but his many of his descriptions of the events leading up to the Second Coming are in line with Sarah Menet's (Hoffman) vision of the end of the world, particularly that the first event is the complete collapse of the US economy, way worse than the Great Depression. Actually this is pretty common among other visions as well. Then the mighty earthquake which practically levels cities and creates massive tsunamis. Sarah say Salt Lake City have a wave of water hit it and it turns out it was because a huge amount of water below the crust of the earth had pushed up. This is precisely how Spencer saw it in his vision. That is the most remarkable part of the book and now these two visions (sarah and spencer) stand out for me as possibly the most accurate of the future. I don't believe Spencer knew about Sarah's vision of this event because the way he describes it, he's at a loss as to why water is coming in from everywhere and then gives his own theory when he finds the huge area of sunken earth afterward.People have mentioned that it is troubling how detailed his vision was and how he perfectly describes everything that he does or happens to him all the way up past the Millennium. I admit I found this troubling as well. It just reads like a novel to me and it's hard for me to imagine that he was able to see and experience it this way. It could have easily been dreamed up to create a sensational story. That's doesn't mean it isn't true just that it is a little harder for me to believe then the rest. Especially the parts about being translated, having an office right next to Jesus in the New Jerusalem temple. This guy isn't even a General Authority, although he says that his work has been in very close proximity to GAs in Salt Lake. Once again, just my feelings, not necessarily an argument or the truth.Overall, i enjoyed the book, although I got tired of the long narrative towards the end. But little things popped up every now and then that grabs my attention. I would definitely recommend this book if you are in to the whole "trying to know of things to come" thing.

Read Twice
Have read this twice. Enjoyed it both times. First time I read this was in 2018. Lost my copy...bought another one after China's balloons went over the US , and read it again. It's interesting

Inconsistent, badly written and unconvincing
I really liked some of the ideas but this needed to be much better edited. The refusal to make it possible to check any of the claims made, seriously damages credibility and makes it impossible for me to read it as anything more than a badly written fantasy.

Visions of Glory - great read
I was excited to purchase this book and I had heard a lot of good things about it and on reading the book I was not disappointed. It tells of the second coming of Jesus Christ and what has been predicted and it puts it into a better understanding for those who may not fully understand the scriptures/Bible. I would not want to give too much away from what is written in this book but I would say it is a book that is a must to read. The delivery time was good and the price very good. I would definitely recommend.

An interesting take on LDS eschatology.
As an interested but no longer practicing Mormon, I found this book fascinating but not entirely convincing. However, I think it was written with sincerity and honesty as recounted by a person who experienced what he believes to be a vision of the future of the Earth and its inhabitants. No doubt other Mormons will enjoy this book, but I am not sure how others of different Christian denominations will rate it. The book was recommended to me by an LDS missionary and I do not regret purchasing it.

Amazing and eye opening
This book is beyond belief. It opened up new horizons for me and helped me see things I had never considered. It should be made standard reading for everyone. I have bought coppies for some of my friends for Christmas, it will be their best Christmas present of all their others as far as I'm concerned. Brilliant book.
