Sir Gawain & The Green Knight

My 6 year old son really enjoyed the book that he finished it upon its arrival and re-read it several times after that. As an advanced reader and a boy, he enjoys adventures, war/history, stories of knights, pirates, Greek heroes and mysteries. This book is nicely printed with really good quality paper and has vivid water color pictures inside. I always read the books myself before I decide if the content is appropriate for his age. For this book, I was surprised he enjoyed it more than I did.

My daughter loved this book! She wanted story time to go on forever.

A great introduction to a classic literature from the middle age.

This is a beautiful book. I love the tale of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Not too sure of the intended age range of this particular version as it's written by a children's author and the illustrations are child orientated, but as an adult and a reader of the normal paperback version, there are 'adult' scenes.

Michael Morpurgo è un apprezzato autore britannico di testi per ragazzi. Ha scritto tra l'altro War Horse, Nel caso di sir gawain and the Green knight" (Ser Galvano e il cavaliere verde) l'autore racconta in prosa abbordabile ma mai banale uno dei grandi romances medievali, di autore anonimo. Gawain è il più giovane cavaliere della Tavola Rotonda e viene sfidato da un nemico terribile, un gigantesco Cavaliere completamente verde che sfida i cavalieri di Artù a una prova impossibile.Ho fatto acquistare questo testo a una mia seconda liceo e lo faccio leggere qualche pagina per volta. Con la voga del Fantasy, va benissimo, e i ragazzi acquisiscono un po' di lessico non strettamente quotidiano.Nella stessa collana e dello stesso autore esiste anche una versione di Beowulf, il poema anglosassone.

Me ha gustado mucho este libro y la edición es muy buena, así como los dibujos que creo que son muy apropiados para iniciar a los niños en la literatura inglesa.

Michael Morpurgo is a great story teller and this book lives up to his reputation. It is easy to read and well illustrated.I would recommend this to anyone who loves the stories of King Arthur and his Knights.
