This switch is faulty - it remains on when in both the off and on position. Please replace

I got this to complete a restoration of an old copper lamp, as I wanted a "period" item. The innards are very simple & made of brass - on occasion it has stuck on the "on" position - maybe a a quick spray of WD will improve it?

This switch is unsafe and my advise is not to purchase, does not make connection when flicking switch, more times than not it remains in a null position between off and on.
