Not great
I bought this because one of my friends had gastritis and had issues with digestion. The good thing about this product is, it's gluten-free.He didn't really like the taste, and it has those thick spices that you cant chew. I wouldn't recommend it.

Authentic and Fresh
Needed this specific Indian spice for the my version of Kenyan Indian Samosas, where I first tasted back in the mid-seventies and my bride had never had. I was VERY pleased to see the spice was not stale, or turned into a brick when it arrived.... Fresh, Aromatic, granular in nature and not clumpy. Will buy again. Also can be used as a tart "pop" on domestic dishes which some find bland-- I have used as an additive in my cauliflower flour with good results for my vegan friends.

Spice was not Fresh
This spice was not fresh. I cook with ground pomegranate frequently and this seems to have lost it's scent and flavor. I don't know if it was stored incorrectly or the expiration date is incorrect, not sure but not buying again.

Effective antioxidant
This product constituted my first contact with Anardana and I really liked its taste and behavior in soy creamer/coconut beverage mix which is able to “extract” some of its goodness into a soluble phase as judged by the change in color from white to pale chocolate brown at a ratio of 8 oz mix to two teaspoons of Anardana vigorously stirred and rested overnight in the refrigerator. Next day warm up and stir again. Enjoy the liquid as well as the undissolved particulate matter. The goodness is in both.

Excellent, nutritious, rich, top quality ground pomegranate seed powder
Very good ground pomegranate seed powder should be a crimson tinged amber color and should smell very rich and sour, like pomegranates. The rich amber color comes from the presence of the very nutritious ellagic acid. This is the only one I've tried that is like that. Cheap Anardana powders in generic bags are light brown and weak. This Anardana does have a tendency to clump in the jar. This is actually a good thing to see. Simply put it through a food mill or sifter to break it back up into a consistent powder.

Excellent!
I ordered these to use in a recipe for Chapli Burgers that I saw in the NY Times. The burgers were great, so I'm very happy with the pomegranate seeds.
