Only a few hand tools required to install (sic)
Works great. Easier to program than the old 372. Easy to understand instructions, except for the time delay for auto close... Moves faster than the old 372. Gonna have to install bumpers to stop the gates... Added the wi-fi compatibility and love it. Be sure to look under the packaging to find the installation bolts... (duh)

Poor quality control and customer support
Purchased in November 2021 and didn't have any problems until June 2023. Secondary gate wouldn't open properly and an alarm would sound. Called Technical Support and they were actually very helpful and knowledgeable at trouble shooting. After doing some tests with them it was determined that something was impeding the gates movement. I cut down all brush around the gate hinges and lubed the hinges and it seemed to fix the issue. However, a couple of weeks later the same trouble started again. I again called Technical Support and after going through more trouble shooting they determined that my control board was bad and needed to be replaced and transferred me to sales which quoted me $369 for a new board and box (without letting me know that I could just replace the board for $319). I received he new board a week later and installed it and the secondary arm wouldn't work. By placing a multimeter on the contacts for the arm I determined that the contacts didn't have any power and called technical support again. They went through some more trouble shooting and determined that the secondary arm needed to be replaced which would be another $349 for a total repair cost of $718. I knew that a local store had a new system on sale for less than $600 and said I would return the control board and purchase the new system. Bought the new system and installed it and was able to move both arms, but discovered that the board included with it wouldn't sync up with the remotes. I left the new arms on and installed the replacement board that Mighty Mule sent and the secondary arm still wouldn't work confirming that it was a control board issue. Returned the system that I purchased locally and called technical support the next day (Monday). I explained everything I had done on Sunday and asked them to send another replacement board. They said that they couldn't without doing some additional trouble shooting which wasn't possible because I wasn't at the gate (gate is at a 2nd home that is over two hours away). Even after explaining everything I had done they wouldn't send a replacement so I asked how to just return the defective control board and they transferred me to sales. I told sales that I needed a replacement board and they tried to transfer me back to technical support and I said I had already talked to them and they transferred me to her. She said all she could do is authorize a return and that I would have to pay a 20% restocking fee. I told her the circuit board was faulty but she said there was nothing she could do. I asked to speak to a manager and she said that she could have the technical support manager call me but she couldn't transfer me. After 4 days, I still haven't received a call.

Wonderful Device!
I love my new Mighty Mule MM372W!! It was fun to setup and all the electrical connections and controls were easy to understand. It looks great and has a small footprint. The gates open flawlessly and it's a great relief to drive up and through to my garage without getting out of the car. I was able to easily integrate a Ring Access Control device to allow me to open from anywhere as well as let Amazon delivery people open the gate. It really works well and opens at a nice speed. I'm glad it's immune from power outages as it opens with battery power. Thank you Mighty Mule!!

Good opener, nice features, involved installation, manufacturer warranty is questionable
Does an excellent job opening gates and has nice features for whatever your needs are like open from cell phone. Tech support is fairly easy to get a live person and helpful. They will even guide you thru the purchase process and let you buy everyone on Amazon or elsewhere. HOWEVER, if anything should go wrong with the hardware, they will do their best to EXCUSE themselves from replacing it. as in my scenario below. Installation is not simple and requires some expertise. it is involved mounting all devices, routing wires and programming afterwards. I found buying all the individual parts necessary to "complete" the package doing everything your heart desires somewhat expensive. Still less than professional gate companies. Might want to consider another brand gate opener or at least buy the extended warranty thru Asurion. In my product failure, after 6 months ownership and working fine, suddenly just stopped working. Found a fuse bad in the battery compartment totally separate from control board. Replaced it. while on phone with tech support, connected the battery back to control board, it sparked, smelled and developed a burn mark. They blame it on a "surge" not covered under warranty. (no surge!) They use that "excuse" to avoid warranty replacement. So CAUTION is in order as they do not always stand behind their product.

Danger! Do not buy this!
Buyers BEWARE! This is neither a quality product or reliable. The casing leaks and floods the motor. Mine ended up repeatedly malfunctioning and over extending and damaging my fence, posts, and gate. After a lot of work I was able to pry it off and open it up. The motor had corrosion and I saw the weepholes on the wrong side of a support bar which allowed for the flooding and collecting of water where the motor sits. Mightymule will not stand by their products! Their "Lead technician replied to pictures trying to blame me for their poor design flaws. Even went so far as to say it's because it was in the rain. Dude, my fence isn't inside my house! Apparently their products are not to be used outdoors! He even commented on the aluminum mounts being corroded. Yes, that happens when your design directly mounts aluminum to steel. Galvanic corrosion! I had to explain this to him. Get something else, anything else. I've had cheap Chinese crap that's more reliable and safer. These are dangerous, poorly designed, and cheaply made. But you wouldn't know that from the inflated price. And the remote distance is a joke. Be prepared to roll down your windows after pulling up next to it. Just don't. Or do, but don't be upset when they slam the door in your face when it goes to scrap on you.

Works well.
Instructions were OK. Install went well. Couldn’t bore under driveway to run wiring for second gate opener arm. Had to install speed bump on top of driveway with wiring inside. Disappointed that it didn’t come with a battery or battery box. Previous single gate installs did. It has to have a battery to run the system so I had to buy them separately which brought to cost approx $150.

Rough start.
UPDATED UPDATE: Mighty mule has resolved our issue. Update: Amazon would not do a return or exchange. Mighty mule agreed to send a new arm after tons of time on the phone and video chat, they determined the arm was faulty and the man said no need to send anything back I just need you to cut the wires on video and I'll take a picture. We did that. BUT After hanging up we received an email that we need to send the arm back AT OUR EXPENSE! Broken out of the box and we have to pay MORE?! I could understand if this was a year later warranty but this unit came faulty. We did not receive a working product to start. Ignore that free easy return line on the listing because it is a LIE. This has been nothing but a mistake. At first they didn't work at all now it seems one arm has a mind of its own. Which is a huge failure and defeats the purpose of a gate completely. I regret removing our old one as our property is no longer secure. Appears we have a faulty unit. I have emailed to see about getting an exchange. WARNING buyer beware. listing says easy 30 day return but when I tried that route I was denied! and it hasn't even been a full week since receiving the unit. I will update if they resolve our issue.

Damaged box
The box containing the Mighty Mule had a rough trip as it had many feet of different coloured tape covering the holes in the box which had been broken and / or opened on its way to its destination. On inspection, all parts were accounted for with no visible damage and we won’t know for sure till tested if the electronics are O.K..

purchased in 2021
Unfortunately, neither one works anymore. We had them installed on "wire farm gates". Not worth a couple years we got out of them in my opinion.

Warranty parts on extremely long back order 3 months at least, replacement part failed too.
The auxiliary arm quit working after 45 days, they say it’s covered under warranty, first was told 7-10 days then 10-20 days and now 90+ days with no real idea when the arm will arrive. Nice has taken over the troubleshooting and warranty part of the business and it’s hard to get a consistent reply from them. At the present time I would say don’t buy one at least until their supply chain is back to normal. Update for Nov 2024, the secondary arm that was a warranty replacement has now failed with the case cracking and is off warranty , so another $500 for parts.

Will not work when to cold
Works ok, slow opening and closing. But when it was cold -30 ish they would have a hard time working. We just left the gates open at that point. The cold with the wind and gate just put to much pressure and the auto stop would kick in. Even at the highest setting
