AutoglymPerfect Polish Applicator

Used for polishing my car with Autoglym polish. Sponge was starting to break away from applicator’s rubber backing after I had applied polish to the bonnet and roof. Completed polishing next day and by then it was 2/3 completely broken away - see photos.Disappointed because the applicator is very useful to apply polish whilst avoiding trim and also avoids wasting polish in a cloth.

The cost of £10+ for two pieces of foam is somewhat over the top and what is even more disappointing is that on its first use the black neoprene backing started to come off the grey foam.Overall very disappointing for the cost

These are so good, I bought them twice... by accident! The first lot hadn't arrived yet and I'd forgotten that I'd already bought some, so now I have two sets of them.So, other than worrying signs of early onset dementia, these sponges do a nice job of applying polishes and waxes in an even and accurate coat. I use the second set I bought for the leather cleaners and protectors on my seats.I also use a lot of other Autoglym products, so by using these I am also very much staying 'on brand'. As such, I am expecting the sponsorship money to start rolling in soon. My hope is that I earn back enough money that I recoup what I spent on the extra set of sponges I bought by accident!

I have many AutoGlym cleaning products and it's often recommended you use one of these for spreading them on your motor. This is mainly for 'after clean' stuff like polish, or trim gel or something like that. For the most part it's pretty ok to use, but I do have my gripes.Loses a couple of stars as I find them expensive for a glorified sponge and the fact they aren't very durable. A previous one I used started coming loose at the seams after only a handful of rub downs, am I heavy handed or is this not that durable? I don't find it to be particularly accurate either on occasions - remember to use the pointy end! Also, it's pretty hard to spread the AutoGlym Polish with it for some reason, it's a bit like dragging it through quicksand.Good, but not amazing.

For applying the Autoglym polish to the car and avoiding "over polishing" areas such as plastic trim etc this was very good. However, when I had finished polishing my car there was a considerable amount of polish remaining in the sponge. This meant that a lot of polish had not been applied to the car and was "washed down the drain" after use. it may be what happens when using a cloth but the amount of polish in the sponge was considerable. For that reason I think that it is expensive for what it is.
