I've found that using auditory timers to signal the end of a meditation session to be jarring, so I looked for one that used a visual cue (most of my practices are eyes-open). This one works like a charm. I can place it at the edge of my visual field, and bright red flashes are easily visible when time is up.

Finding a timer for meditation is challenging. Either the ending signal is loud and jarring or a timer with a gentle, calming signal is very expensive. This timer, with its vibration feature, works well for meditation. The vibration sound is still a bit jarring but placing the timer under a blanket or pillow softens the sound enough to make it a peaceful reminder that the session is over. Like any digital kitchen timer, this one is easy to set. The ending signal is not something that has to be programmed. Simply flip the little switches on the back for the type of ending signal desired. Very easy to use.

Concussing at first understanding the switched on the back. I set the time and put it in my pocket causing it to reset. The belt clip is also very sensitive to movement.

I love how this timer has a light up and also a vibrate mode. I use this timer at work when working on 2 or more testing stations. I set mine on light up mode as a personal preference.

I like the timer but I can’t find where to turn it off.

The first timer I ordered worked great, so I ordered another. The second timer I ordered was dirty and broken. It continually switches to the hour setting when I press the hour/minute button when the rear button is only set to minutes. It also flashes for no reason. The back of the timer is sticky and seems to have adhesive or crud where all the buttons are.If you get one that works, it’s a great timer. It’s not so great when you get a faulty product. I threw away the box so I can’t return it either. Good luck with your chances at a functional product or a waste of money.

I was specifically looking for a silent timer. Unfortunately the silent timer function on this timer is not silent. Other functions on the timer work fine and the timer is small but easy to read. I will be returning though as it doesn't suit my specific needs.
