Inexpensive and functional.
These capos are inexpensive and functional. The design is simple, the surfaces are clean. The mechanism operates smoothly. All the touch surfaces are polished and clean. The back side of the finger grip areas are clean and finished, but not contoured smooth. A small amazonbasics "bubble logo" is on both sides of the hinge in a recessed cavity. I'm not sure I like the copper color, but I don't dislike it either. You can buy a fancier capo if you like, and I probably would if I were a stage musician. But this is a really great, inexpensive option. The clamping force is firm without being too strong, and the rubber jaws hold the strings firmly without causing damage to the guitar neck. It stays in place very well while playing, but is pretty easy to move or remove quickly.I would be even better if the grip surfaces were textured, and if the back of the grip surfaces were contoured, but those are minor changes and not even a complaint. Finally, a bit of advice. Don't take chances by leaving a capo on the neck while storing your guitar. Long term pressure will eventually dent the wood if you leave a capo on your guitar too long.

It's a capo. And handy for more than just playing!
So, it's a capo. It does what a capo does, it does it well - even pressure, quick on, quick off, no fuss, no muss. However, for me this has a secondary use. One of my guitars has a wrap tail bridge, and I *Hate* changing strings on it. I'd replaced the wraptail bridge with one that's intonatable because it needed it badly - but that made changing strings more of a pain, as they'd inevitably slip the notches in the bridge when any tension was lost. A capo *helps* with this tremendously - get the string set and through the tuner, clamp it in with the capo, and it'll stay put while you bring the string to tension. Bonus! It does the job, plus some.

Well made and cheap price
I was in the market for an easy to use clip on capo and this came upon my radar. considering the 20 year old capo i had was 20 bucks, 3 of these for 8 bucks was a steal. I gave one to a friend and have the other as backup but will probably gift as well. Item is well made and very sturdy. Highly recommend.

Great value for the money
While I prefer Kaiser capos I’m always finding myself somewhere without one so thought I’d take a chance on these just to have around as spares. For that purpose it’s a great value. The spring load is a bit stiff and depending upon your neck it may be tighter than you like but easy enough to make work. Hard to complain at this price and quantity.

Works perfectly except slightly difficult for child to use
These work great! My 10 year old is tiny and has very small hands so it’s a little bit hard for her to open the clasp wide enough by herself to put it on her guitar neck but other than that these capos work perfectly. Great quality for the cost. (I can easily get it on and off.)

Great capo, bang for your buck
When choosing a capo it can be hard to decide which one to get since they all see the same. I'd definitely reccomend this one because it was quite cheap and will definitely last you forever. Stays sturdy on the guitar and looks great.

AWESOME capos!!!
I bought this to replace a Schubb capo that I lost, and honestly wasn't terribly fond of. I figured I'd give the Amazon a shot because I've had generally very good luck with Amazon Basics products in the past, and I'm not at all a gear snob.I was impressed with the low price, and was very surprised by the weight of the box. This is a two-pack of capos, making these an astonishing value!Price doesn't matter if the product is bad, but in all honesty, this is the best capo I've ever used! Here's why:* Does't bend the strings out of tune (like the Kayser brand does)* Very sturdy and solid* Sufficient spring tension all guitar typed and fretboard radii (wokrs great on all of my acoustic and electric guitars)*Easy to put on and remove, but not as easy as others. The design of this one requires you to reach behind the fretboard with your right hand or use your left hand (see picture comparing it with a Kayser for a visual).*Immaculately finished (super smooth edges and flawless finish)I cannot state enough how impressed I am with these capos, even if Amazon doubled the price.

Good extra capos for the money
I love how it came with 3 capos for 10 dollars, such a deal. They work very well and clamp all the strings, no fret buzz at all. I’ve played guitar for years and these capos are somewhat an awkward shape but the value is so good for this product, it does the job. If you are looking for just 1 really good capo check out the Kyser Capo.
