I was hesitant to order this mask. I am 68 and have been using a mask over the years from clay to peel off and then some mostly to address very small oil and blackheads that accumulate and don't really want to go away. I have oily skin and I have never had any success with them. Well this peel off mask has made me a believer! I did several things to make sure I had the best outcome - made sure my face was well washed - I sit at my vanity and did so for application so I would not get antsy. I made sure the mask was room temp, so I did not use the first day I received it in the mail. Seeing other comments about seperating on the face, I was not sure what to expect. The silicone spatula is soft and pliable and the mask was more liquid than I thought but that was a good thing. I only put a pea size amount on the edge of the spatula at a time and I only spread it so far, which helped keep it thick but I did notice on my cheek area it started to seperate and I believe it was because my skin was warm there - so I added more. I made sure to get my entire nose especially the crease area and I also did some below my chin and jawline. So I used more than I think I would have normally used, but the price is not that bad so.... I wanted to make sure the mask completely dried and went off into my office and did some work on the computer. After a while I could feel the mask tightening on my face and I would say 45 minutes or so and it was ready to remove. I gently started pulling it back and was completely suprised and thrilled to see the material that was being removed. This mask completely pulled away the smallest of dried oil and blackheads from my face. And yes it did remove the tiny hairs but I also consider that a plus - it does not grow back thicker or coarser and my face is nice and smooth without all of the peach fuzz. Once done I took a washcloth and cool water and cleaned my face of the little bits here and there left behind around the edge of the mask area. Then I applied some unscented facial lotion and had absolutely no issues with a rash or sensitivity. I am so happy to have found this product and will be ordering more as I do plan to use it at least twice a month. Awesome product.

I've tried a few different brands over the years and so far this was the best one. My girls are using it now too. If you aren't familiar to them, they all hurt to take off.

Unfortunately I would not recommend this product to anyone. This is my son's face in photos, and we were trying this product to remove blackheads to prevent my son from being tempted to pick at his skin. I didn't want him to end up with scars from picking, which he has not had the urge to thankfully. So we decided to try this product to remove blackheads on nose and chin. We did all the instructions stated, and waited for mask to dry. Once dry we removed slowly and my son squealed and I thought he was kidding around until I could see the raw spots. He rinsed with water afterwards and had burning sensation. Today we could already see scabs forming on his face. I'm praying it does not scar his face. He is only 12 with young skin and this looks like the product burned and skinned his nose. As you can see in photos it removed the skin, but still left the blackheads behind. I would not attempt any "mask" and instead save the money and have a professional facial and have extraction of blackheads without damaging skin and causing pain like this product did.****updated from original 1 star. Although the product was not affected and too harsh on my son's skin, I wanted to update review on the customer service. After posting my review I was immediately contacted by company and asked if there was anything they could do on their end. The offered solutions and even offered other skin care products in place of this blackhead mask. I can say their other products were better, but most importantly they did every effort to resolve the issue and refunded my purchase which is what all companies should try to do in the event of a bad reaction to their product. They were very professional and kind in the matter.
