Simplicity is the key. No timer to worry about, saving money. Face the sensor South East, if possible, and you have feed when you can see, AM or PM. This unit needs only a metal funnel which you can get right here at Amazon. Throw away the piece of plastic that comes with the box.....or the squirrels will do it for you and you won't see any corn in your can when you get back to it. Another way to prepare for longevity is to replace the steel 1/4" clamping hardware with stainless (nickel) bolts, washers and wing nuts. I first hang the unit from a branch at home and coat the entire thing with a clear enamel spray paint. This keeps the whole thing from rusting out in the weather over time. I've had 3 WGIs for 2 years, hanging from painted trash cans and never had to change anything but the batteries, (rechargeable of course). YES, the squirrels still manage to jump up and hang out under the cans and eat the corn on the (metal) spinner plate, but the steel funnel keeps them from damaging the important part and losing the entire load of feed. Prepare, don't repair.

It does exactly what it claims to do. No issues at all. I would recommend this game feeder.

Bought this for my uncle because it’s very simple to use and works great.

I bought one and set it outside to test it for three days. It only ran at dawn; not one time at dusk. I returned it for a replacement. Same exact results. Returned it for a refund. These are pure junk! I don’t recommend this product to anyone! If you want to throw away $35, here’s your opportunity.

These feeder control units are a great value. I've had one for several years that continues to work well. The photocell timer works great and couldn't be easier to use. The units are easy to install. I recently bought two more that are working great. No issues.

This is junk like all the rest of wild game line up. But for the price point you get what you pay for.
