Great no-cook, no-prep protein supplement
20 grams of protein with only 3mg of cholesterol and 1g of sugar in a no-chemicals-added grab & go snack? Works for me! It does contain coconut oil, which I try to avoid due to the saturated fat; but these bars end up with 10g total fat and only 3.5 grams of saturated fat. Also, I really like them. It's still a processed food, so I don't think it's a good idea to eat more than one a day, but all things considered, it's a great way to get another 20g of protein into my diet. The one drawback for me is that I live in a warm climate and they get oily/messy to the touch when I store them in the pantry where there is no air conditioning. So in the summertime I keep them in the refrigerator. Problem solved and not worth subtracting a star from this review.

Completely and Utterly Disappointed
The media could not be loaded. To start off, I am a fan of Atlas bars. I order boxes of them every month. Protein source is great and value is also fair. Their variety of bars is cool if you want to change things up (I have tried all of them and the chocolate almond one is the best). Overall I am a satisfied customer. This all changed with the new formula. Now the bars are EXTREMELY OILY!? I stained my shirt because the bar DRIPS OIL!? I now can’t eat this on the road because it’ll get l over my car and clothes. The texture now is much worse. Before, the texture was soft, fluffy, and easy and satisfying to bite into. Now the bar is so hard I can barely get through it without my jaws tiring. The taste is blander now too! How could you do this!?I am so disappointed to the point where I am now canceling all future orders of this stuff (I ordered 4-5 BOXES a month!).And I am not a fan of the new branding. Before the branding looked like what your word is, Atlas, an adventure. Now it looks like a gator aid clone! Why!? You even got rid of the shiny graphics on the wrapper >:(Whoever made these changes, why do you hate yourself so much? There was nothing wrong with the previous brand / formula. I simply don’t get why you would change something that was working. Think about it, has Clif bar changed their formula through the years? What about their branding? How do you think their business is going? Please change it back! The rebrand/re-formula was a horrible move!

Favorite snack
These have a chewy texture and are delicious with very low added sugar. No sugar alcohol which is a huge plus. Full of protein. The chocolate chips will melt a little when it gets warm but it's no biggie and doesn't impact flavor. Perfect size bar for a snack.

Overall great protein bar!
Great protein bar overall! I love that the ingredients in this bar are short and simple. It has a good amount of nice chocolate bits in it and it is a pretty thick bar. 20 grams of protein and 0 sugar so if you are on the run and don’t have time to eat, this protein bar can sustain you! The texture is that of a protein bar nothing out of the ordinary. The the packaging is great and you get a lot in a small box. One of the best things is if you’re trying to eliminate seed oils from your diet this bar has none! So if you’re looking for a relatively healthy protein bar this is a great choice!

Good idea, poor execution.
Though the macros for this bar are outstanding, there seems to be an issue with the product formulation causing the item to leak oil. My last order leaked through the original manufacturers packaging, the paper packing and the Amazon shipping box. Almost impossible to eat, very messy. Quest has formulated a bar with almost as good macros and much tastier and convenient to eat.

flovorful
I love these bars. They have the least artificial taste of any protein bar I have tried. Also, very low in sugar and lots of protein. Other reviews have complained about some of the bars being oily. I actually liked the oily bars I have received (this box was drier), as the oiler bars are chewier and actually taste like you are eating a dessert bar. The drier bars, while still good, are not quite as tasty.

Too sticky/chewy. Good taste.
The flavor is okay, but the overriding feature for me is the texture. It's so hard-chewy-sticky that the only way I can eat them is to heat the bar briefly to make it softer. I dislike food that sticks to my teeth. Other people might not mind. The texture is sort of like solid caramel, but grainy. I've been trying to find low sugar bars with alternative sweeteners (stevia, monk fruit, etc), not artificial ones or sugar alcohols (for example erythritol), but this one doesn't work for me. I haven't tried many other whey-based bars, so maybe this is a normal texture. I had a similar problem with bars made with egg whites -- too sticky/hard. One of my favorite bars was discontinued and replaced with one that was similarly sticky-chewy instead of the original soft cookie-like texture. I asked and they said a lot of people like that texture.

Good option for a quick, high protein snack
Good option for a quick, high protein snack. Although a little on the dry side, these almond chocolate chip Atlas Bars are a solid protein bar that tastes good. I really like how they are not only high in protein, but are also made with all natural ingredients and are high in fiber (while not high in calories). I've eaten these bars post morning workout and as an afternoon snack - they keep me full for a decent amount of time! If you're looking for a new protein bar, give Atlas Bars are try!
