Works well with tunnel lining casting forms
I needed it a bit thicker (less water) than the instructions on the casting forms said. But it works very well.

Best to make rocks from molds
I tried the cheaper stuff that is not light weight. Even though the price is a little high, you get more items made from this product and they weigh NOTHING. Woodland Scenics is the best for my village displays. Not too messy to use. I used this many times. Easy to paint. Also Woodland Scenics has free how to videos on their site. No I don't work for them but as an avid D56 and Lemax collector I like to pass along good products and info to fellow collectors.

Great Product
Easy to work with. Drying time overnight. Can thin down beyond recommended and still maintains strengths. Works great with the Scenic Woodlands Rock molds. My only gripe is the stuff doesn't go near as far as you'd like. I may experiment with fill materials to reduce the amounts needed for the rock molds. But overall, very happy with this product.

Still getting compliments on the rock facings I made for ...
Still getting compliments on the rock facings I made for my HO layout using this hydrocal. Once you pop it out of the rock molds, (which are also great), it can be carved and shaped and trimmed if necessary. Takes pigment colors very well and very realistic results. When using the Woodland Scenics rock molds, spray a little wet water in the mold, (water and liquid dish soap), to act as a releasing agent.

Model log home
I got my purchase a while back. I think the price is a little too much but, it is what it is. I'm trying to make rock foundations for my project that I'm working on.
