Red DingoClassic Dog Harness, Small, Pink

I liked this harness so much I also bought it in red, blue and green. I also ordered the yellow which I never received. I prefer the H style harness and they are getting harder to find. Red Dingo harnesses are easily adjustable and I can adjust the neck, chest and the underneath strap from neck to chest. Not stiff nylon but strong. The colors are pretty and I purchased the GO Tags glitter paw print ID tags , they match perfect! I walk my dogs everyday in the park and the harnesses have not snagged or have "pulls" from walking in the brush and brambles. I have gently washed them, no problems, no fading or shrinkage.

I like the fit of this classic style harness. I just don't like how all the new "comfort" harnesses with their padded chest area fit, and most just aren't very adjustable. The new style harnesses I've found just sit too high on the chest and end up putting too much pressure on the lower neck causing my dogs to choke when pulling. I let them pull since it gives both of us more if a workout walk. My heeler is 62 lbs, and based on reviews, I went with an XL since his measurement around his barrel was right at the end of the size for a large. The XL is so adjustable in both around his barrel and the length under his chest, I have it fitting perfectly. It could fit a much larger dog as well. Nice, strong metal ring for the leash too. I'm seeing a lot of plastic rings nowadays.

This harness is a great purchase! I bought this harness for medical purposes, even though the sizing was off, the quality is great. It’s good for controlling an excited dog. I especially like the bone design on the buckle and the durability of the harness. However, I find myself adjusting the harness to fit it perfectly on my dog, as the size is too bing and can’t adjust anymore. I don’t mind it too much, as he’s fluffy and I don’t want his fur getting squished. Overall, it’s a great harness but I might return it for a smaller size.

This harness is great for a small dog. It isn’t too thick or wide. I have used the same size and brand on another dog and the harness lasted for 5 years!

For those other reviewers that mention it is small, or seems small...I have to 110% concur. I put this on my 10 week old (6 lbs) pug when he started to wonder further away from me than I liked when taking him outside for restroom breaks. by week 13 (this week, 8.5 lbs) I have already removed it because even though it is maxed out in size, it is too small for a 13 week old puppy in my opinion; too tight around the stomach / diaphragm area. the head and neck area did still appear to have a little room left, perhaps another two or three weeks left of growth but that did not help me much since the stomach area was maxed. the only other thing I would like to mention is the ginormous difference between the small harness and the medium sized harness. I do not understand how a company that makes small, medium, large, etcetera sized equipment wouldn't pay attention to just how much of difference there is between them. I had to put my 13 week pug in a different small harness (from another vendor) that I had laying around to hopefully help cover the growth gap until he is big enough for the purple medium I had also purchased from this company. by visual inspection alone, i am thinking the medium size might be all he needs when he grows into it. I had also purchased a large sized one as well. that would be absolutely hug for a pug; unless it is part goat or pony.

After reading the reviews of others I chose to go with this harness for my 75lb very muscular pit bull who has a large chest. On the advice of another reviewer, I chose the XL due to the large chest because she stated that the Large was a little tight on her dog. This harness fits my dog perfectly and is not to snug on her chest or neck. I am not using this to walk my dog, but more for when she is on her run because she has figured out how to get out of her collar and instead of tightening the collar where she would not be able to breathe, I chose to try a harness. So far it is working out well, although she does not like it since she cannot escape..lol! The ring on the back where you clip the lead is strong and the stitching in my opinion is strong enough to hold with no fear of breaking. I've only had this for a short time, so I will update in a couple of months to let you know if it's still worth buying. But for now, I am happy with this harness!

I struggled so hard to find a harness for my 12lb Papillon. When she came home I got her a Red Dingo collar and leash, because my friend said I didn't need a harness... The vet said she was wrong, so back to the local pet store where they set me up with a Lupine. When the girth fit, the neck and back were too big, and she had too much girth for a size down. Then I tried Puppia, but the small didn't go over her head and the medium wouldn't tighten around her chest. A Kurgo extra small sloshed around. I was at my wits end until I remembered how much I liked her collar, and realized they also did harnesses (they just didn't sell them at the pet store). I ordered two and they fit like a dream, and I love the two buckles so I can just wrap it around her and she doesn't have to put her foot through anything. I swear she's going to wind up with like five of these just because they're so cute and I love the colors!

Very well made, sturdy and will fit from an eight week old Shih Tzu to an adult Shih Tzu around 14 pounds.Will last a long time!
