Looks and works exactly like the brand-name original.
The big button (the only one I use) on my original Liftmaster garage door remote was wearing out. It still worked, mostly, but once I noticed that it was no longer working in a mindlessly dependable way, I decided it was time for a replacement. (The problem was definitely the switch, I change the battery once a year. Also, yes, I know I could have used one of the other two buttons but I'm used to them not being programmed and just fumbling for the big button.)A brand-name original remote cost me under $15 the last time I replaced it. It's now well over $30. Forget that! Fortunately there was this identical-looking knockoff here on Amazon for $18. Other than not having the Liftmaster name stenciled on it, it's identical in form factor and function. The remote comes with an instruction book which was a- not written by someone for whom English is a primary language, and b- presents information after certain instructions when that information should have been presented first. Even so, it was not a major challenge to get the remote programmed to transmit on the correct frequency when pressing the big button (the only one I want to use) and to then pair it with my opener. This remote comes with a battery. Hopefully it will last a year but it's not a big deal if it doesn't, replacing the battery is very inexpensive and is an easy task to perform.I am very satisfied with my purchase so far. I will report back here if it wears out faster than expected or if I have any other issues going forward.

This is NOT "universal" - it IS useless junk!
The bullet point SAYS "Compatible with yellow Security 2.0". The title SAYS "Chamberlain. The description says "connects to any Liftmaster, Chamberlain, Craftsman, Sears Raynor or AccessMaster garage doors featuring a Yellow, Red, Orange, Green, and Purple LEARN BUTTON". It is, apparently, NOT those things.I spent over an HOUR following the instructions on the remote and the garage door opener. I even swapped batteries since I ordered this a year ago (thank you Amazon for limited return windows) before the pandemic changed our plans. NADA!Ordered a Chamberlain branded one that costs just a little more - and had it programmed (with similar steps for the "right" keychain remote) in less than a MINUTE!So here's the "secret" that the item page does NOT tell you: this is an "800 series" (model/part #) remote...and my opener requires a "900 series". FYI, we have a Chamberlain MyQ opener with Wi-Fi, belt drive with MED lift power.

Not universal. Would not work with my Liftmaster WLED. New garage door opener.
The liftmaster small remote they gave me when they installed my new garage door opener failed. The main switch got stuck. So i bought this which looks identical to the one that failed. I use if on my bike rides. I have tried to program this many times and it simply does not work. Tried from the main control and by using the yellow learn button. Nothing works. Followed the instructions. Waste of money.

Follow the directions
It works, I was expecting to be able to press the learn button on the back of the overhead opener, then press whatever button on this remote to program it. No go, you have to hold the two little buttons on the remote down for a few seconds then press the button you want to pair up with your opener (and press your button on the back of your opener as well). Says so in the instructions, just an extra step you may not be used to is all.Works just fine, no worries at all. Would buy again.

Replacement Remote
I previously had the remote that had Craftsman on it and it fairly easy to program. Worked great, but I sold my motorcycle and the remote went with it. I bought another motorcycle and needed a replacement. Purchased this one as it appeared much the same as the Craftsman. This was not the case. Cheaper case and the instructions were not the easiest to follow. Went on YouTube for a how to program video. It showed the previous remote I had, Ugh! After many, many tries, I finally got it paired with my Craftsman garage door opener. Next time I would spend the few extra bucks and get the Craftsman remote.

Not what is being advertised!
Do not buy this product, they show you a 3 button remote and shipped me a 1 button one. Additionally, the instructions shown are for remotes you program wirelessly. This remote requires a pin configuration that matches your door opener. I bet no door openers even exist that are this old anymore. This is a scam.

Great replacement
These are not original LiftMaster remotes but generic replacements. They are actually well built although set-up was a bit confusing at first. These will work with several frequencies so getting it to work with my particular opener took a few tries. But after getting past that, they work extremely well and at a pretty good distance. For about 1/4 of the cost of factory remotes they are well worth the extra effort it took to program. Will definitely purchase again.

My garage door remote 2.0
Smaller version of the remote on the visor in the car. I'll keep this one on my ATV. Now I don't have to hop off to open or close the garage door any more. I'm sooo lazy! errr.. efficient. Ya! That's it, efficient AND a problem solver! Go me. ;-)
