I've always used Mohawk, but never in a spray can. I've got to say, I was pretty impressed with the performance and finish without having to use an HVLP. Now, they just need to make their cans compatible with a trigger spray attachment, like Rustoleum :)

This gives a gorgeous satin finish. Super easy to apply. I used this on mid century modern dining chairs after stripping and gel stain.I could see dust particles all over while it was drying but when it dried, a microfiber cloth with a bit of furniture polish, and it buffed beautifully.

Great top coat for my kitchen cabinets. It creates a hard surface. A bottle last a long time.

Sprays easily and evenly; dries fast. Worked great over latex paint and water-based stain.

So so easy compared to any other method. A no-brainier product.

The finish you get with the Mohawk lacquer is superb but in my case you will be lucky to get 2/3 of the lacquer out of the cans. See the attached pictures. I shake these cans like I would any other brand but the bottoms bulge out after a while and shortly after this happens they stop working all together. I have had to trash 3 cans that still had plenty of lacquer in them. I reached out to Mohawk about this and there response was that they will "forward to quality control department" - I have switched to Minwax, this has never happened to any of the Minwax cans.
