Definitely do up as tight as you can and line up the base on the wall first, once that base is on you can change it and if not correct your shelf just won’t be straight.Only complaint; one bracket was bent so couldn’t be used, passed the return window annoyingly so double check your brackets asap if you’re like me and wait 6months before putting on the wall!!!
