The Guitar Grimoire: Beginning Guitar Paperback – September 1, 2010

I’m using this as a teaching tool, it has been a good starting point for a beginner with some musical background.The Grimoire has a several series, and DVD’s that can help you go from beginning to pro.

Some of the other reviews have said it is just a short book with a weird set of videos. Personally, I think the videos are pretty clever, as well as informative. The content covered is, from the start, very in-depth and is presented in a way that is easy to understand. It is one of the most satisfying things I have ever read.

For those who aren't aware, and it seems to be many who are writing reviews for the Guitar Grimoire serious (either thanking or criticizing him), Adam Kadmon is not the name of the author of this series, or the person in the videos. I doubt this series is the work of one individual.Adam Kadmon is a Kabbalistic concept that means "original/primordial man". Feel free to look more into it on your own, or don't.

I am just excited to get started. I was told to get this book from a guitar store that said this is the best book for learning guitar theory. It came in the mail quickly and I'm ready to jump in and learn as much as I can!

As I am a self-taught guitarist I am enjoying some of the teaching materials now available to musicians that I didn’t have when I was learning. I love the Guitar Grimoire series and I have purchased 4 of the series. This is the beginners Grimoire. It is not a very big book. This book costs $28..00 and contains essential materials (such as tuning your guitar, chords in the first positions, where and what notes lie on the guitar neck) My opinion is that you can get this instruction and more for less. If you looking to put a music library like I am then this might be a good addition. It’s small but well laid out albeit in a somewhat condensed version.
