Works well
Robust aerial that works well on my scanner. Picks up weak signal that the standard scanner serial misses. Very pleased with it. Excellent value for money

Excellent
As other have said, this is a brilliant not so little antenna, it works very well on the lower HF bands.

Great ariel
Don't let the cheap price put you off buying this telescopic ariel. I had an old mag mount unscrewed it and screwed this telescopic one onto the mag mount.. Now am picking up Humber which is about 111 mile from Humber to Newcastle with a good signal... Am about 3 miles from Newcastle tower get that no problem.... Its jus a great ariel

Very poor quality. Straight in the bin.
No shims in the angled screw connection and screw not long enough to tighten, therefore telescopic section just flops about. BNC connection is *not* good. Intermittent unless you hold it in place. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Vertical operation only
The antenna is made of good quality materials and is certainly effective for VHF Wideband (commercial) reception. It can be shortened (if required) for higher frequencies e.g. the Air Band although I didn't find this necessary. The pictures show the BNC connector horizontal and the antenna vertical. In this configuration:It can be tilted left or right and the adjusted screw has the correct tension to maintain the angle. It cannot cope with being tilted forward or back and simply falls (flops) over. Conclusion: for a vertically mounted BNC connector or for the antenna only being strictly upright it is more than OK, but for a horizontally mounted BNC connector it cannot support a forward/backward tilt.

Aerial
Works perfectly as I expected. Good value for money. Improved signal. Nice and compact size.

Works perfectly with Realistic hyperscan 600.
Only downside is that the 90 degree joint is a little loose resulting in the airiel listing to one side (drooping) if not set perfectly perpendicular
