Great battery

Absolutely brilliant exactly as describedGood value for money.

I received this promptly and charged it. It worked brilliantly and lasted much longer than my Makita 1,2ah batteries. HOWEVER on attempting to recharge it I found my Makita DC18WA battery charger to be dead. I tried an original Makita battery and the charger remained dead. I checked the fuse - it was OK, so I now need a new charger.I do not know if the battery has damaged the charger or whether it was just coincidence. I need to buy a new charger but am now worried whether to try charging this battery in case the same thing happens again.I can vouch for its power but not whether its larger capacity and longer charging time has wrecked my charger!

My Makita drill/driver set originally came with 2x batteries, and now after 6 years one of the batteries decided it was time for retirement after getting a little damp.This was an attractive alternative to help get up to 2 batteries for larger jobs. For only a few pounds more the capacity was double the standard level. 4.0Ah versus my stock Makita battery of 1.3Ah.So far after testing a couple of charges this thing goes on forever! I've used it on a bit of decking and fencing, and it gives excellent performance and longevity used with my driver.Weight is a little more, but I can't really say I noticed it in use.

Used the battery while trying to drill 4 holes into a stone wall the drill kept going for an hour.its work horse of a battery does take a while to charge. Definitely worth it, may purchase another one as my original battery don't seem to last that long.

So I bought this as an upgrade/replacement for an old battery that lost all charge. This was quickly delivered and straight out of the box worked a treat, I gave it a full charge as instructed and have drained it down and charged again. Pleasingly this took ages it lasts way longer than the standard Makita batteries that came with my drill. Super happy with the purchase.

I was worried initially about using a 3rd party battery on my Drill / Driver set but this battery is excellent, I needed to countersink about 150 table numbers on a job I was doing, I knew that my 2 1.5 A/h batteries would not do this, I fully charged it and took my other smaller batteries as backups, needless to say they were not needed, the battery performed flawlessly, never once showed signs of slowing down and completed the job on one charge, It's now my main battery and I use the others as spares, I'm very impressed with the capacity.
