My Chiweeni (Hulk) sheds quite a bit even though he has super short hair
I ordered this Pet Grooming Tool Self-Cleaning Slicker Brush for my two small dogs. My Chiweeni (Hulk) sheds quite a bit even though he has super short hair. I just noticed his shedding a couple months ago and I am pretty sure it is just because it is summer time. My other dog is a Boston terrior/Yorkie mix (Smash). He is also a small dog and has much longer hair, but we keep most of his hair shaved, with just a Mohawk from head to tail.This Slicker brush is light weight and is super easy to use. There is a button at the top of the brush,when once, pushed the brush will come out for use and lock in place. When you are finished brushing your fur ball, simply push the button again, the locking mechanism will remove itself and you can just wipe away the hair. I feel this brush is well made and will last.Now, Hulk was not sure if he liked this contraption. He contorted his body away from it as I gently brushed down his back. Sash rad from me the first time I grabbed it, but as he saw me brushing his brother he came over to investigate. He loves me using the Brush on him.. He thought he was getting scratched, not brushed! I did get some hair from his Mohawk and easily grabbed it on my way to the trash can. He has been begging for this brush since the first time I used it on him! Hulk still doesn't think he likes it, so... my pugs love it too and it works great for both
The brush was purchased for my long hair cat, my pugs love it too and it works great for both. I have another very expensive brush that I use for the dogs, but prefer this because of the unique self cleaning feature. It holds all the hair in pace until you are ready to remove it. Will definitely purchase again if needed.

Very effective at removing fur. Hair easily removed from brush. I purchased this second one for a relative and cat lover and she is very pleased with the way it removes the fur and the ease that it can be removed from the brush . A great invention!

My cats actually will sit still for this brush! I love that the bristles retract to easily wipe the hair away for disposal. The reason I am giving it four stars is that I am not real confident in the durability of this brush. I only received it about a week ago so can't yet speak how long it will last.

For some this would be good, but for small dog, may not any better than other slickers
The slicker is okay. But for small pet, the head is quite bulky compared to other small slickers. I purchased this for my small dog and it was too bulky for him. I had other small slickers and was no better in performance. Tried twice but returned. The built quality looks good.

I first thought "self-cleaning"???? Yep!!!! Bought this for my mom's 18-year-old kitty, and it worked fantastic! It's gentle, yet effective, and literally does clean it self! Definitely recommend!
