A large watch that works well, after a bit of self-education
I purchased this watch because I really like self-setting watches, and the radio time watches that I used to use no longer receive the time signal reliably. The LAD GPS watch is larger than I expected, it is the largest watch that I've ever owned. But I tend to buy compact watches because I've managed to damage bulky watches in the past. So far this watch feels heavy, but not unacceptably so. It is probably not as big as most of the current crop of smart watches. When this watch arrived, it was off by several hours. So the first thing I did was to take it outdoors to a clear area, and then hold down the button that causes it to synchronize with the GPS satellites. This happened fairly quickly, and after that the hands of the watch began spinning quickly like they do in old movies to show that time is passing. When it came to rest, the wrong time zone was selected (PHX not NYC) and it was off by a few hours. So I manually changed the time zone to NYC, and the hands started spinning again. This time it was off by only two hours, but the time zone verified to be NYC.So I read the manual some more and found out that the watch can sometimes get "scrambled" (see instruction sheet section 1.0). Performing the resetting of the hand positions as described fixed the problem. I took it back outside, had it re-synchronize to the GPS satellites, and this time it was right on target. So I'm pretty happy with this watch. I'll give it one more minor ding though: I bought the leather watchband because metal ones tend to grab the hairs on my arm and tear them out. There are two loops on this band intended to trap the other end where it extends past the buckle. One of the loops is not useful though, because it is firmly attached to the band just behind the buckle. This makes it too close to the buckle to use for that purpose. You'd have to fold the strap completely flat to reach back that far, and it's too thick. It traps well with the single loop that works though. Ok, so I'm a perfectionist!

Impressive performance for the price point...
I've been wanting to try a GPS watch, and when I saw the price of the GPS Master IV I just had to give it a try. The first thing I did after taking it out of the box was to go outside and try to sync with GPS. To my delight, the watch found my location and started setting the correct time zone and DST time in just one minute. I was even able to get time reception from inside my house. The manual is a little sparse, but written clearly enough. I have been able to test every feature of the watch, including the automatic GPS reception, over the last week and everything works just as described. The date numbers are extremely tiny and difficult (for me) to see. There is no way to disable DST, so in some areas you might have to manually adjust the time zone. You also cannot manually set the time. I would say bracelet quality is good, and in line with the price of the watch. The manual makes no mention of how, or if, the watch will handle the GPS week number rollover that will happen on April 14th, 2019. It also doesn't address the issue of leap seconds. I sent an email to LAD Weather but have received no reply. Hopefully the watch update automatically when the time comes, as the current Seiko and Citizen models will. If the watch date is forever wrong after 4/14/2019, we will know it didn't.

A beautiful watch
I'd like to have a GPS-adjusted watch with long batter life. The battery life of smart watches is normally short and they must recharged regularly. This watch is GPS-adjusted and I assume that its battery will last at least one year (hopefully longer.) The watch looks business-like, and beautiful. I was able to follow instructions to synchronize the time with GPS and to check other functions. Now the cons:1. The watch is thicker than I have anticipated. But it still is amazing that the watch packs so much machinery in such a small place. It's comfortable to wear and I have no complains here.2. The watch is about 3 seconds faster than a Casio radio-controlled watch, and other handheld GPS receivers. Any suggestions to correct it?3. As others have commented, the numbers for dates and other information are too small, hard to read.A digital version with similar functions and battery life will be great. This is a $129 (vs. other $2000+) GPS-adjusted watch, and so far it functions great for its price.

Works okay
This watch is nice looking. It gets the GPS signal even inside my house. The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that I have adjusted the hand position numerous times followed by a GPS time set and the second hand is always 1 second ahead or 1 second behind my radio controlled watches. It’s not a deal breaker for me considering that this watch costs so much less than many other analog GPS watches. It’s not bad for the price.

Not happy with product
I am not happy with the Watch and don't recommend it . Shortly after using it the hands of the watch are not working properly together . When the time is 12 the minute hand is on the 12 but the hour hand is between the 12 and 1.

An attractive watch with GPS setting, but time set ...
An attractive watch with GPS setting, but time set is off a few seconds compared to US 60 KHz setting on other watches. The watch has also required numerous re-setting of the hand positions.

Great Watch at a reasonable price
This is a very nice watch and it looks great and you can wear it just about anywhere. The satellite reception works good. When I received the watch I took it outside and it adjusted the time and date automatically within about a minute. I am very happy with this watch.
