Rapala 50lb Digital Scale Grey ,One Size

I am a midwife and we use this scale to weigh the baby in a sling. It works perfect. It has Lbs and Oz. If you are a midwife and want a scale. This is the one I recommend.

Very accurate, probably hard to believe but i actually use this to weight baby rabbits in my rabbitry to monitor growth rates. Works well and no issues. I can assure that the auto shutoff does work well too, in my case it would be nice if the auto shutoff was set up for a longer duration because i do have to turn it back on a few times and re-set the tare in the time it takes to weight 10-20 rabbits. Not sure the duration, a minute or two which is plenty of time for what it was designed for. If mine does break i will replace it with the same model as i did verify that the accuracy is good which is the most important thing to me, as far as the auto shutoff, i am glad it does because i am one that would be replacing batteries all the time if not.

I bought this scale thinking the it displayed pounds and ounces. It does not, that I can tell. It displays in pounds and decimals of pounds.My fish was 5.46 pounds, not 5 pounds, 7 ounces. Oh well. Guess I'm a decimal guy now.

I have a Berkely scale as well. I prefer this one. It weighs quickly and is easy to hold on to. I like that it is backlit. Weighs in pound increments rather than pounds and ounces. (1.5 lbs versus 1 lb 8 oz). It is a bit tricky to get it out of the kg mode, but not impossible. I use it for weighing hay for my horses in their hay nets. The nice hook on it makes it easy to hang larger objects on it. Put the cat in a bag with handles and I can weigh him. Would be good for weighing luggage, and even it's intended use; weighing fish! I also like that it uses AA batteries. The Berkely requires a special battery. Overall, a great little scale.

I purchased this item to weight my horse hay at feeding time. We use a firewood satchel to put the hay in to weigh it. The scale has worked really good. My only complaint would be the size of the hook; it is a bit small for the purpose I am purchased it for, but we work around that by attaching some other type of string to the hay prior to putting it on the hook to weigh it. What is really nice with the scale is that it is easy to hold to weigh items, you can zero the scale when you are using something to hold the item you are trying to weigh, and so far it seems to be quite accurate.

Bought it in May. And by August it stopped working. I thought it was maybe a drained battery due to maybe the button been pressed by something else in my bag. Changed the battery and nothing. The scale won't turn on. Not impressed. Quite disappointed. I bought this one that was a bit more expensive than others thinking it would be a better quality and last me longer. But it didn't.

I was happy with the products design for usage and it's operation. However I found that it can't be thrown in a tackle box and expected to work when needed. The battery compartment lid fell off and was quickly lost. I also found that the button gets pressed when stored haphazardly and the battery is dead when needed. You need to find a good place to store it and make sure that it doesn't get accidentally actuated.

We've used this in our barn to weigh feed for 8-9 years now. When the first one finally crumped, I was really happy to find it again! Ours hangs in the barn exposed to rain, snow, freezing temps down to the teens and summer heat in the low 100's and it just keeps on working! The manual scales rusted in only a year or so, making this one not only more accurate and easy to read, but longer lived as well. It can be easily changed from pounds to kilograms; we're always temporarily stumped when it accidentally gets changed and the weights seem 1/2 off ;-) You'll want to remember that feature when it happens to you!1/2/2017: this thing is still hanging in the barn, exposed to weather, and other than 2 battery changes, it's still awesome!

Just received my new scale to replace my old one that was 15 years old. Hopefully this one will last just as long.

Decepcionado no, lo siguiente. Después de usar esta misma báscula más veces la compré por amazon ya que en ferretería no la encontraba. Cuando llegó a casa ya el peso y la calidad del botón me dió que desconfiar. Y las desconfianzas finalmente fueron ciertas. Fallo en el botón, fallo en general. Es más ya ni enciende. En esta ocasión la marca Rapala que es una gran marca, parece una marca china mala.
