Use the elastic straps to hold it in place over the existing mirror. Adjust it so the camera is clear of anything attached to the inside front windscreen.

Install a micro sd card into the slot before installation as it's hard to get to after.

Sit in the car and decide where you want to hide the extra length of wire and where you are going to plug it in. Planning is important but you can change your mind if you don't like your first choice.

Plug the power lead into the mirror to see that it works then unplug it, then you have a choice of how to hide the wires. If you are confident, get a plastic cover remover tool and gently pry the headliner seal above the windscreen and down the most appropriate side of the screen according to where your accessory plug is. Caution is required as you don't want to touch any airbag sensors as you push the excess wire out of sight. It isn't as daunting as you might think. When you have pushed the wire out of sight into the gap check you have enough wire left to reach the plug socket you want to use. To finish the first stage just hold the wire in place and push the rubber seal back into the headliner until it sits back in place with no gaps.

If you aren't comfortable with the first process you can just let the wire dangle but this is messy and might obstruct your view in an annoying way, which might even be illegal due to distraction and catching it when you change gear etc., and there will be a lot of spare wire to tie up.

If you want the reversing camera, this is more complicated than the front one but YouTube can show you more.

The camera comes on after a few seconds once you plug it in and you can't use the original mirror as this sits in front but you get a great view once you adjust it to your needs. It takes a while to get used to using the mirror when the screen goes off but you can change the settings and you will get used to using it as a rear view mirror again once it's adjusted properly. You won't get split screen rear view unless you choose to install the rear view camera, and it will only record if you install a memory card.

Important note.

Don't leave it plugged into the accessories socket when you leave the car for the night as it draws power all the time and can drain your battery. I learned this the hard way and now have a beautiful new battery!!

If you want you can hard wire it into the fuse box but this is tricky and might be better done by a professional unless you really know how to.

It's a great mirror once you get it installed and positioned correctly.

Absolutely, you choose to have front and rear cams on one split screen, swipe to have each as full screen, and both will record to a micro sd card simultaneously until the memory is full when it over writes fom the oldest point.

It's very good quality and also you just hold the screen and swipe up or down to adjust the field of view to see higher or lower according to your needs. Great mirror. The screen goes off after a little while and then acts like a rear view mirror, to get the display back just tap gently.
