I needed some a wind blocker for my Tascam DL-10's provided lav mic and I needed one fast, I saw these were good value and in the right size. I'm always hesitant to buy non-brand products and as we use our lav mics every day in all sorts of conditions we needed it to be spot on.I am happy to confirm that we used this outdoor in 15-20Mph winds and it completely blocked out the noise.I will be buying more when needed in the future.

Bought to use with lapel microphone, but fiddly to put on, but very very secure when fitted. Works well and removes blustering wind in the microphone.

Good value dead cat, does the job well for the price paid, the original one for my mic would have cost £42 incl shipping so 2 for £6 or so is extremely good value, and I more than likely wouldn’t be able hear the difference.

I needed windshields quite badly for my lapel mics and there isn't much available and I bought these.I have several makes of lapel mics - Rode, Shure ... etc, and these little furry things just drop off because the hole is not elasticated and it is way too big for most lapel mics.UPDATE I returned them and have now found that Rode make a furry windshield called the MiniFur-Lav, which does the job well for lavs with small diameter capsures.

Very difficult to fit them over the microphone. I used some lubricant in the end. Haven’t yet tested them In windy conditions.

I brought this dead cat for my little clip on microphone and it made it less poppy and made the sound even crisper. It is must add on when doing audio books as the sponge cover the mic came with was ok, but this is better. Plus it makes the mic look very cute.
