Ranks among the all time best sitcoms
I discovered this series when Netflix recommended it to me. I watched the six seasons they had and loved it. Unlike many sitcoms, this one gives you the sense of a real community of people who support one another, while at the same time are able to laugh with, and at, each other when they deserve it. I'd rank it up there with any of the best sitcoms on history... Cheers, All in the Family, you name it. It's a classic. This set contains all the episodes from all nine seasons. Since it's a DVD set designed for UK players, make sure you have a player that can handle it.

Review without Spoilers - Pros & Cons
Still Game is a Scottish sitcom, produced by The Comedy Unit with BBC Scotland. It was created by Ford Kiernan & Greg Hemphill, who played the lead characters, Jack Jarvis & Victor McDade, two Glaswegian pensioners. The sitcom ran from 2002-2019. Make sure you check that the region will work with you player before buying. Here are the pros & cons as I see it, I hope this helps you.Pros:1. Bloody brilliant2. This show has me laughing out loud which is a rarity for me3. Good acting, writing,& good editing4. The disk with the Christmas & Hogmanay episodes is fun5. The final episode is heart touching & wonderfully done6. Subtitles available if you need themCons:1. I personally do not have any which is another rarity for me2. If you do not swearing this may not be for you, but surprisingly it does not bother my mum at all, who usually is offended by swearing, as it is done overall in good taste & fits the story, culture, & location

We cry with hysterical fits of laughter
My immediate family loves this show we have fallen in love with the charactersAfter finding them on Netflix we just knew we had to own the DVD series ourselves in case Netflix ever has to remove itWith each episode you begin to really fall in love with each and every character they may all give each other a hard time but they truly love and care for each other which I think the world needs to learn how to be nice to peopleForget political views asideI’m beginning to feel that if my friends and family do not like still game I don’t want to be related to themYes I’m just being snarkyIt’s a shame that our American writers write the same rubbish over and overIf you have a hard time with the language put the close captioning on and after while you will start speaking with the Scottish accent and whitty banterI cannot stress how much joy and laughter these adorable snarky pensioners have brought my family during CovidSadly we will never see them win an Oscar or Grammy award here in the USA shamefulWe also bought chewing the fat same writers and actorsAlso the live still game too

European region only, but still worth the investment of the player as well!
What can I say? This show is a treasure however, there isn't a release for the States. This will require a region-free DVD player, and the PS4 will only allow one to change the region a maximum of four times before permanently locking to the last region selected.....so take care! Worth every penny this, it is the definitive Still Game collection for old and new fans alike!

Still Game is Still Hugely Funny
After only getting seven seasons on Netflix I bought the boxed set.Was not disappointed. So sad this show has ended. Now buying up everything else Ford Kieran and Greg Hemphill have done including Chewin the Fat and the Live Show. Recommended viewing. So funny,

Funniest sitcom ever
It's so great to have the entire series in one package. It is region 2, UK so you can't play it on a standard region 1 North America player. We never get tired of watching this series. You have to understand the Scottish accent and sense of humour.

Superb scripting; brilliant cast!
Only just discovered this brilliant series. Exactly what the BBC used to excel at! Not exactly for the very easily offended but Scottish humour at its very best.

Fantastic feel good comedy series, you may want to watch again and again
We've (me and the misses) watched the complete set of this feel good funny series 4 times now and we never get bored with it, in fact every time we watch it we get something new that we missed the previous time. We now find ourselves quoting Jack and Victor in our every day lives. Some may find the Scottish accent hard to understand as we did to begin with, but you soon find yourself getting so used to it, you understand all that is said.

5-star comedy, shame about the audio issues
Would have given 5 stars of course because Still Game is one of the best comedies I have seen in a long time. Shame I only discovered it's genius when I saw it up on a certain streaming app in 2020, watched the lot by New Year.My 4 star rating is due to the poor DVD quality from 2Entertain. As one other review has stated, I got as far as Series 2 Disc 1 and noticed major dips in sound on Episode 4, very poor, this should have been taken care before releasing. There were some other audio issues in the earlier discs, but at least I could hear the dialogue. I know the BBC in post production had to dial down the audience laughter because it would drown out the dialogue, but the DVD's released tries to wipe the whole lot out! I've heard better audio quality on TV shows that have been missing presumed wiped than these!

Great boxset with a few issues
As a whole a great boxset and not too big a box but there are continuity issues between the old and new series. The sound on the old ones goes high and low but not seen any reviews mentioning so may be a one off. Also the old ones on episode as listed with their title names but they've got lazy on the new ones and just called them by number
