PlayMonster Chrono Bomb Original

I got this as a Christmas present for my son (he saw it on a commercial and just HAD to have it), but didn't have high expectations after reading such mixed reviews.It came right on time & the packaging was great! Opening it for the 1st time, I was honestly surprised by how great the instructions were & that there was no assembly besides setting it up.Now that I've made over a dozen "obstacle courses", I feel like I can give an honest opinion. So here is what I can tell you:~ Great Quality - clamps and pieces hold up over time & wear and have continued to do a great job, they give you a really good amount of "string" to use which was one thing I wasn't expecting & love about this one ~ Super easy to use - clamps are easy enough for kids open while also strong enough to hold the string tight, simple setting buttons on bomb & reel on clamp holding the string ~ Really works! - we like setting up in a small area so that it's a lot more difficultOverall I can honestly say this is a great product & is lots of fun!! With all of the set up possibilities, I don't see us getting bored with it anytime soon!!

Not actual laser, it’s a long red cord you attack to the holders which clamp on to stuff. Kids still enjoy it, it’s just a little bit of work to set up especially when the kids keep knocking it down, but that’s the way it goes with everything when you have kids.

The countdown feature works but the sensor for the trip wire does not work. Tried all the recommendations and nothing worked. While this is a fun idea the execution just isn't there. It is fun for a few minutes but my 6 yr old wasn't able to booby trap his room to keep his older brother out so it lost its luster quickly.

Imagine. A toy with batteries that encourages physical activity. I had to help my daughter set it up, but after that, a he and her friend played spy games for almost 2 hours!

My family loves this game! We feel the quality is excellent. There is plenty of string to create many challenging obstacle courses. This could really be described as a STEM activity. My kids have to be creative and think what kind of objects they can attach the clamps to. If they attach it to a chair will it be too high, a stool too low, what if they attach it to something that has wheels? They have really had to problem solve with it, but have gotten very good at setting up a course all by themselves. It entertains all 3 boys (9, 7, 3) for hours. And for family game night, mom and dad and baby brother like getting in on the action - (can dad get through the course with baby in his arms before the whole house is blown up - the suspense is killer) I would definitely recommend this game and we'll be buying it for other families for Christmas!

Waste of money. The kids wanted this game badly and after receiving it, they were not even impressed by it. The commercials for this toy is misleading. It looks like lasers, however the game is nothing with lasers. It has clips that you have to clip to a shelf or furniture and it has strings attached to the clips. If adults are not careful and don't pay attention they can trip and fall. It is also time consuming to put together and take apart after each play. It would have been better if it really was a toy with laser lights.

We were stuck in a hotel for eight days this summer when my mom was in the hospital, and our son was going stir crazy. You can only go to the hotel pool so many times before the kid starts getting crazy so we went to a local big box store and found this toy. He loved it. We set up different courses using the furniture in the hotel room, and we had a ball playing spy. It was so much fun that he insisted we buy one for his friend's birthday present. I was glad to find it at Amazon—and for five bucks cheaper—and it was the hit of the party. The kids played with it for quite a while before and after cake, which is pretty amazing for a group of rambunctious six-year-olds. Two of the parents there told me that they planned on getting their own Chrono Bombs for their kids, and now we're thinking about getting the boys back together for a house party with four or five different rooms "booby trapped" with these "bombs." A really cool toy!

I will start off saying, this is the second copy of the game I have purchased. The first was for my nephew for Christmas and after I saw how much he loved it I looked closer at it.SoooooI bought a copy for myself. I am not the target for it, but this game is great when dealing with a bunch of drinking adults that love to get in trouble. I bought my copy to play with my friends that work at Renaissance Faires, for us to play after hours when we are drinking. We tried it for a trial run at a friends apartment last weekend and the results were hilarious.
