A great book for presentations for home and overseas students.

I enjoyed reading and working with this excelllent book on a vitally misunderstood skill that needs to be undertsood and implemented by anyone wishing to present to an audience despite its size

I use this book with a group of science professionals who want to brush up their English schools. Used selectively, it provides some good points for discussion and activities. Not every section is useful but that's true of every textbook. The accompanying CD is mostly good, some of the presentations are more authentic sounding than others. Some do suffer from sounding like an out of work actor but they are the minority and, again, this is a common failing of class CDs. It works with one to one tuition and I would imagine it would be fine with small groups. The teachers' material is available online rather than as a separate expensive book which is a pleasant change.

This book is absolutely amazing! It a MUST-read book for those who want to improve the presentation skills!!

I used this book in the context of a language course specifically aimed at improving the presentation skills. I really enjoyed the approach, even if the book is more focused to the business sector, rather than the academic world. Anyway, the hints are still valid and can really improve your presentation skills.

Questo testo dà molte dritte su come imbastire una buona presentazione in inglese. L'orientamento è sul settore economico, ma i concetti sono validi per ogni argomento affrontato. Assieme al testo ci sono due dischi audio, utili sia per esercitare la pronuncia che l'ascolto, non male.
