I got this CD for my autistic 4-y.o., hoping it would serve for his quiet time, and at the same time, help with his language development. At this moment, as with most of the things we do with him, he appears not to be paying a whole lot of attention, but I know that he is taking it all in. (He usually surprises me later repeating words he hears on the tv or the radio.) I find the storytelling to be quiet calming and read in a manner that makes it quite enjoyable. (It is very important that I do not find it annoying, as I have to play it over and over.) There are a couple of other nice stories in there, and the music is absolutely lovely. So much so, that I have played just the soundtrack part of it at dinner time, as I find it very relaxing. Would recommend for any parent trying to stimulate a "quiet time" in their child's day.

Great book. 4 Stars only bcz the flaps are thin and not sturdy at all. If you child pulls it trying to tear it, it will tear easily. But the page quality is good and the print is very vibrant.

This shipped very quickly and I was very happy with it. We purchased the book as a Thank You for school teachers and it's very cute, and easy for my kids to read. Quality is great, pages seem very thick/protected and cover is durable. Very Satisfied!

I bought this book to give it to my child’s teacher for teacher/ appreciation day and also for the end of the school year gift. I thought the “ hungry caterpillar thank you.” book is cute and small. I like words that describe the teachers everywhere do what they do to help kids in the classroom.

はらぺこあおむしの本も、他のエリックカールの本も、そんなに高く評価されるほどすごいのか・・・？ 私にはあまり理解できません。 しかし、このCDは素晴らしいです。 全体的に、子供向けにありがちな元気でうるさい感じではなく、ささやくような朗読、静かで落ち着いた音楽、可愛くてほほえましい効果音・・・これを聞いていると何とも言えない静寂感に包まれます。 それは子供でも同じことで、赤ちゃんの頃から、泣き止ませたり寝かしつけたりするのに使っており、驚くような癒し効果を発揮してきました。 ３年くらい、毎晩、寝る時にかけていたので、何百回かけたか分かりません。 しかも、ちょうど5話で30分くらい、朗読なしのサウンドトラックが同じく30分くらい、計1時間くらいで終わるので、大人としてはタイマー代わりにも使っていました。(「30分たったのにまだ寝てないな」等) ただ、お話の朗読としては、どうかな？うちの子はいまだに、この聞き慣れたCDと、読み慣れた本5冊が同じ物だとは勘付いていないのではないかと思います。。。本を見ながらCDを流すより、親が読んだ方が子供の心には浸透すると思うので、CD聞きながら本を開いたことはありません。。。
