inexpensive fix, woorks great.
My kids love these. I got them for my kids late model car, that don't have blue tooth hands free. I feel now that they can talk to me in the car without taking their eyes off the road. I know that no talking would be best, but they definitely help. The sound quality is good, only noisy when the windows are down.

Great foe teenage drivers
Bought this for our sixteen year old driver. Works great, but the sound on other end of phone is a little muffled, but worth the investment

A Warble-Warble here and a Screech-Screech there...
I bought this product as one of Amazon's Deals of the Day for $5 and some change... I figured what did I really have to lose?If it worked, I got a great deal and if it didn't... well... I only lost $5.Let me start with this.. WHEN it works, it works great. Connects to my Samsung Galaxy S4 quickly. All the controls work great. It hasthe built-in speaker for hands-free communication (haven't gotten to try that feature out just yet.). What's not to like?I'm so glad you asked! First thing I noticed is the wires. The wires that plug in the 1/8inch phone jack and the wire that goes to the handcontrol have easily got to be 28 gauge. I could probably floss my teeth with it and not worry about getting it stuck behind a hunk of day oldbrisket. Now you might be ready to ask, "But Shane.. it's bluetooth! there's no need for heavy gauge wires!". I wouldn't disagree with you.You don't need heavy gauge wires for transferring wireless audio. What you DO need it for is durability! Forget you're holding that controllerbecause you spent the last 3 minutes skipping tracks looking for that perfect song, then stop to grab a drink and jump out of your car, you'llpop that wire right out of the control knob with no problem. Or more than likely, just snap the wire. The other problems which I'll combine as one, are with the connectivity. for the fist several days, everytime I got in my car and paired the bluetooth, there was an awful screeching noise through the speakers along with the music until I popped out the 1/8 inch plug and plugged it backin... sometimes two or three times to get it to stop. That pretty much nullifies the usefulness of it auto-connecting. Now that it has stopped doingit's god-awful screeching, it warbles. Wait, let me explain. Remember way back when we had 8-Tracks... or even cassettes and the batteries on your player got low causing the sound to wane in and out? Yea. sometime similar to that. Usually after it connects and for the first 10 - 15 seconds or so, the audio warbles. quite annoying. But no worries.. sometimes it even does it mid-song.When I first read the description of the device, I was skeptical... mainly of the knob. People like buttons. Why twist a knob to skip a track when you can more easily press a button? I didn't think I'd like it. Turns out I don't mind it at all. In fact, I'd have ordered a second unit for my other vechicle (and perhaps a third for the stereo in my home) if it didn't have such a sundry of other wacky problems. Therefore, my rating is One Star.If Avantek gets their techs together and fixes the glitches, I'd be more than happy to take a second crack at it. I think it would work quite lovelywithout all the problems.. but I suppose that could be said about anything.I hope this helped.

A couple fatal flaws
I bought this in order to use my phone to take calls and play music in an older car with an AUX input but no wireless capability. There are a couple of issues with this unit. First, the microphone is very small and placed on the left side of the receiver unit. The position makes sense as it places the field toward the driver if the receiver is mounted to the console, but the microphone opening being so tiny made the microphone volume very low. Callers on the other end of conversations complained that they could barely hear me even when I was yelling in a parked car. Holding the receiver close to my mouth improved the microphone volume, but that defeats the purpose of a hands-free unit. The real death knell for this one though was when the cabling failed after about a week of use. There would be an audible popping sound in music playback, and the playback volume would reduce by 3/4 or more. After a few minutes, it would pop again and come back or remain low until I removed and plugged the AUX cable again. After about a day I realized that simply wiggling the cable would cause or correct the popping. At this point I tried my old 3.5mm male-male cable from my phone to the car to verify that my AUX input wasn't going out, and there was nothing wrong there. As best I can tell, the cabling simply started losing connection between the receiver and the input jack. The cabling on this unit was noticeably thinner than expected when I unboxed it, so it makes sense that connections might fail. I bought the Abcotech unit to replace this one as the cabling on their unit was visibly more substantial, and that has worked flawlessly for the last three weeks.

Great Product. Highly Recommended.
I love the ease of using this dash camera. I feel so protected from accident responsibility. Before I bought this camera, someone backed into me while trying to park. He told the police and insurance I ran into him. There were no witnesses. No I will have proof. The picture is so clear. Protect yourself and install one of these in your car.

8/10 recommend
I love this little piece of technology! I drive a very old car and this little artifact was a great purchase! The only thing is that the little sticky part is not that sticky and I had issues getting it to actually stick in place but apart from that it's amazing!

Save Your Money!
Absolutely a terrible product I can't believe I wasted my money on this!! Out of the box it's so cheaply made I thought oh well let's give it a go! Get it all set up and it has this unbearable screaching/humming that over powers any phone call or music being transmitted.

Prefect...for a minute.
I've been wanting a Bluetooth system for my car and when I saw this as a lightening deal, I jumped at it. Within 3 minutes, it was installed and linked with my phone without a hitch. I've had this for a little over a month and it has been giving me nothing but problems for a week and a half now. It sometimes connects and when it does, the connection is so bad that my music skips and sounds like a scratched disc. Im definitely not keeping this for much longer.
