I bought these after reading all the reviews for the slightly more expensive ones
I have used studio quality, very expensive BEyers and others in recording situations in the past. I just got a Yamaha electric piano, and I didn’t want to play too loud at night.I was about to spend a bit more money, but I’ve read so many bad reviews of the more expensive ones under $100 that I finally just settled on these $14 ones. The cord is not long it’s OK for what I am playing. I don’t think you could use it on a guitar amp without a curly extension or something. I am just sitting at a piano with it plugged in at my side. But, they are definitely low cost but the sound is fine. I think the trick is how long the connector wires on the ear pads will last.I would say as long as you’re not buying this for kids or if you don’t jerk it around a lot, it would be fine for many situations. If you’re planning on plugging it into an iPad or some similar device you will need to have a connector jack because this is the large size plug for an amplifier.(but I would not use this on a guitar amp. It’s not sturdy enough to be jumping around with a Guitar.).

Very Good For The Money
If you are looking for the most posh, comfortable headphones ever, with the most outstanding sound, you may want to pass these up. But if you need a solid set of great sounding headphones, for doing studio work, or for some casual listening, I don't see how you can go wrong with these. They sound very crisp and clean, and reasonably rich, even when using no equalizer settings to assist them. But they do fall a bit short of having "upper end" headphone sound quality. But you don't expect to get that kind of sound with less than 25 dollar headphones. But the sound they do create, seems much better than I would have expected for the price I paid. And to me, they are larger than they appeared on the promotional photo, which is also good. But they are inexpensive headphones, and as such they do have some of the drawbacks usually found in cheaper headphones.Firstly, they wear a bit tight, and a bit hot. And no amount of adjusting I tried seemed to help. So you may want to try something else more comfortable, which probably means more expensive, for longer listening sessions. Also, I was surprised to find that they do knock out some of the outside ambient noise. But they aren't like some of the ones that cancel almost all of it out. And I wouldn't expect that from these either. But I was pleasantly surprised that there is a decent, or a measurable degree of noise cancelling with these. And I like the "L" plug in's much better. than the straight in type plugs. But in the defense of these headphones, the cord is heavy enough, and the transition seems well designed, so this should not be an issue for years to come. And another positive is, that the jack worked on my cellphone, right away, even with my case on it, which for me is rare, for any out of the box larger headphones. Usually I have to do some carving on the end of the rubber part of jack, to trim them down, so they jack will go through that smaller hole in my phone case, which is frustrating. But these plugged right into my phone, case and all, the first thing, with no modifications needed. And maybe these deserve 5 stars, for the money. But I reserve 5 stars for top notch products only. And since the comfort level is a factor on these, and I don't want to seem to be misleading peopel, so 4 stars it is.

NUMARK HF175 - Feels very flimsy and not comfortable for long periods
I got the HF175 since they were on sale used and the other option was the $15 numarks. I wanted something not cheap but not crazy audiophile-ish expensive. I got these with my pioneer DDJ-400 so I figured if I liked it then I'd upgrade later. Package showed up and looked like the Amazon driver got curious and cut a slit to sneak a peek at what was inside because it had a huge thinly cut slice on the side. Everything was inside so no big deal. Headphones just came with cord and a small manual.Headphone sound quality is ok but doesn't get very loud and if it does then it's just pure bass so don't expect to start hearing sounds you never heard before in songs like better headphones out there. The feel is like cheap pleather and very little padding. They aren't comfortable to wear for longer then like 20-30mins so unless your at home good luck DJing at a club with these for hours.Price was discounted $15 due to it being a return item and some scuffs and packaging being torn. I think it was around $35-$40 I paid for these not the $49 normal. If your an at home DJ and on a budget then grab these used as your first pair but brand new I would get a cheaper option that's better and more comfortable or get the Pioneer cue1 headphones which have better range if motion and sound better

Sounds good
I'm a sound tech for over 30 years. I got these because my old pair wore out. I'm happy with the sound for mixing & they are comfortable. In a warmer environments, ears get a bit warm if left on your head too long. I just pop them of for a few seconds & all is good. They are just as good as higher priced ones.
