Onion Soup Crocks With Handles

These are amazing and beautiful they are exactly as described and more. The red is the perfect shade it looks like! The bowls are large enough and microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe!!! The handles are so comfortable I’m ordering another set!!

I bought these soup crocks to fulfill my dream of making French onion soup like a true chef. You know, the kind that looks like it was kissed by a Parisian sunset, with golden, bubbling cheese and aromatic caramelized onions swimming in a rich broth. Well, these crocks did the job... and then they did a little more than I bargained for. First, let me tell you the pros: Sturdy ceramic construction that looks as fancy as a Michelin-starred restaurant. A beautiful long handle for carrying the soup straight from the oven. But here's the kicker. The handles have drainage holes. Yes, you read that right. DRAINAGE HOLES. I’m not sure if the designers were inspired by colanders or wanted to ensure that no soup crock ever experiences the agony of holding onto liquid too long. The first time I poured my gorgeous French onion soup into the crock, everything seemed fine. I proudly carried it to the table — until I felt a mysterious warmth dripping onto my leg. That’s when I realized I wasn’t serving soup; I was serving leaky cheese-covered disappointment. Now, I have to say, these crocks added some unexpected excitement to our dinner. Every spoonful was a thrilling race against gravity. My dog loves them too — every drip was a gift from above. Since then, I’ve found they’re also great for: Watering plants – dual function as a fancy planter with built-in drainage! Straining pasta – why use a pot when your soup crock doubles as a mini colander? Performance art – demonstrate the fleeting nature of soup. All in all, I love these quirky crocks. They taught me that life, like soup, is unpredictable. Next time, I’ll use them for French onion soup again — just with a mop close by. Would I recommend? Absolutely. Just maybe keep a towel handy.

These are sturdy & handsome, but there are these holes on the bottom of the handle. They're probably there to allow the clay to not explode when heated, but it creates an issue with making sure it's not getting too dirty inside that handle. D/W will be fine, but do not allow to wallow in sink.

Had a dinner party snd everyone loved them. I ordered two sets. Held the perfect amount of soup for dinner. Even with the sticky burnt on cheese of French Onion soup they cleaned easily and stayed white.

I like the look of this product, but unfortunately when immediately opening the light box it came in I noticed that one of handles had broken off cleanly from the bowl. It appears it was never bonded properly. I would simply like to replace this one bowl. Could the manufacturer/seller not ship one out to me?
